And its "highlight" - luxurious tapestries with elegant patterns, from which it is simply impossible to take your eyes off.

The Vyacheslav Zaitsev Fashion House cooperates with many Russian fabric manufacturers, and - one of them. Secret bright image in the photo - juicy terracotta and orange shades. Thanks to them, coats and boots, sewn from, look very elegant. A clear geometric pattern of the fabric gives the image expressiveness and relevance. And to enhance the ethical notes, Vyacheslav Zaitsev supplemented this set of designer clothes with original accessories: large beads made of amber, wood and colored glass.

A bit of glamor

In the photo: Textile boots from the collection of Vyacheslav Zaitsev

The light satin stitching of the decorative boots contrasts well with the colorful tapestry and adds a touch of glamor to the design of the product. And the combination of fabrics with geometric and floral patterns in one model emphasizes the versatility of the image.

Hourglass

In the photo: Fitted tapestry coat from the collection of Vyacheslav Zaitsev

Tapestry fabrics keep the volume remarkably. This quality of jacquards was used by Slava Zaitsev, creating a fitted coat in the photo. It perfectly models the silhouette, making female figure light and graceful and giving it a resemblance to hourglass.

Tapestry "Gypsy"

The design impresses with both texture and rich palette. But its main advantage is its universal drawing. It is designed in such a way that the fabric can be cut both lengthwise and across. At the same time, contrasting light and dark stripes will form either spectacular verticals that stretch the silhouette, or horizontal lines that create additional visual volume.

In Russian style

In the photo: Coat from the "Gypsy" tapestry from the collection of Vyacheslav Zaitsev

Vyacheslav Zaitsev has many collections in the Russian style, where Posad shawls and luxurious furs are "soloed". But the models from will make them worthy competition. Lush bouquets in the spirit of Zhostovo painting give a special charm to this fabric. They support the Russian style, but "work" easily and without pressure, making the image aristocratic in a European way.

Spectacular vertical

In the photo: Tapestry coat with wide sleeves from the collection of Vyacheslav Zaitsev

A distinctive feature of the coat in the photo is the original cut, which was realized thanks to the universal design of the "Gypsy" tapestry. Wide dark streak on the back visually stretches the silhouette and creates a spectacular vertical that makes the female figure more slender.

Additional volume

In the photo: Jacket from the tapestry "Gypsy" by Vyacheslav Zaitsev

Tapestry is indispensable for sewing jackets and coats with wide sleeves. Due to the density of the fabric, the sleeves keep their shape well, maintaining the required volume. You can emphasize their width with a lapel in a contrasting color or a wide decorative piping. And the final chord in creating a bright look will be elegant long golden gloves.

Oriental notes

In the photo: Tapestry coat with golden ribbons from the collection of Vyacheslav Zaitsev

Gold-tone ribbons and an original clasp give the jacket in the photo, made from tapestry with a rich floral pattern, similar to a Japanese kimono. Light oriental notes add piquancy to the image in the Russian style. A turban made of an elegant scarf and monisto make it complex and very interesting.

Tapestry "Patchwork"

In the photo: Jacquard fabric "Patchwork"

Elegant design products made in technique patchwork, today at the peak of popularity. The best way to create an unforgettable outfit with such a design - sew it from a beautiful jacquard that realistically imitates a fashionable patchwork. Dense textiles, characterized by increased wear resistance, will retain the attractive appearance of the product for a long time. And if you choose fabric in beige tones, complemented by shades of Marsala and Beaujolais, the result will surpass all expectations.

Modern reading

In the photo: Tapestry jacket with velor gloves from the collection of Vyacheslav Zaitsev

It looks original and vintage, and this is its main advantage. But clothing designers can make it "sound" in a completely new way. An example of such a modern reading is a stylish ensemble from the collection of Vyacheslav Zaitsev. A relaxed fit lends a mid-thigh length jacket a fashionable oversized silhouette. And high boots with smart lacing balance the cropped sleeves.

Expressive ethnicity

Large wooden buttons perfectly emphasize the ethnic character of the tapestry jacket made of. In color, they match one of the shades present in the drawing, and therefore look very organic. And necklaces and bracelets in ethnic style support the "wooden" theme.

Playing with shape

In the photo: Tapestry coat with wooden buttons from the collection of Vyacheslav Zaitsev

Dense jacquard is optimal when you need to create a beautiful silhouette, spectacular volume or play with the shape. Therefore, a tapestry coat with one-piece cropped sleeves and a stand-up collar looks especially impressive. emphasizes the merits of the model and makes it possible to create a shoulder line characteristic of the clothes of the 80s.

Where to buy tapestry fabric in Moscow?

To all good day and have a nice week!

I invite you to discuss tapestry clothing - the trend of 2013.

This beautiful fabric with a rich history, they are today positioned as a legacy of the luxurious and graceful Baroque era, and are also used in ethno-hippie-boho collections. Meanwhile, in the post-Soviet space, tapestry is strongly associated with framed rugs and curtains. I don’t know how in other cities, but in St. Petersburg stores tapestry fabrics are still sold as curtains and furniture, for sewing clothes, in principle, not intended, which affects their density and colors. Therefore, it seems to me important to understand the details in order to look like a fashionable beauty in a tapestry new dress, and not a beggar wrapped in an old bedspread.

WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?

Modern tapestry is a dense embossed fabric with jacquard weave, most suitable for sewing suits, dresses, vests, skirts, trousers, as well as outerwear and accessories. It is perfect for demi-season clothes that can be worn both in the winter thaw and on a cool summer evening.

The embossed matte texture of the tapestry makes it the ideal material for casual and travel wear. This fabric combines utility and decorativeness: thanks to the motley colors, the tapestry thing is doomed to attract attention.

Historical excursion

It seems to me important, when introducing any fabric into your wardrobe, to imagine the historical and cultural context of its appearance and use. Therefore, the first thing I did was go through the articles about tapestries on Wikipedia and on other sites. For those not interested, scroll.

It turned out that the original tapestry or tapestry was a hand-woven canvas made with a simple cross-weaving of threads, in which the weft threads completely overlapped the warp threads.

The production technology was already known one and a half thousand years before new era to the weavers of Ancient Egypt. The Assyrians, Copts, Greeks, Chinese, Peruvian Indians, using linen, cotton, wool, silk and other materials, weaved cloths using the tapestry technique. The finished fabric was used to make carpets, wall panels, clothing, trimmings (in Peru), and gift wrappers (in China).
In the era of the Crusades, samples of oriental tapestries came to Europe, and, starting from the 11th century, European-made tapestries with images of landscapes, animals and birds are widely used to decorate the interior, insulate walls and erect camp tents. In the 17th century, the royal tapestry manufactory was opened in France, after which the material was also called.

So, history knows examples of tapestry sewing. Strictly speaking, clothes from this fabric were sewn everywhere except in Europe (and Russia, where at first they were woven according to Western patterns). From here conclusion: should be used with great care for fabrics with pronounced European motives: castles, hunting scenes, biblical, historical and other "carpet" subjects. Better to give preference floral motives framing the main composition.

But you can safely use the traditions of the fine arts of those countries where tapestry clothing was held in high esteem. Traditions, of course, are different everywhere. Thus, Peruvian products are characterized by mythological motifs with zoomorphic and anthropomorphic figures and geometric ornaments, and plant motifs are rare. In the era natural dyes the color scheme was rather restrained, but bright colors are also used today.

On Chinese tapestries, you can most often see landscape or plant compositions in a characteristic restrained color scheme (picture on the left). And in Egyptian, Greek and Roman - geometric and floral ornaments, allowing for contrasting color solutions (picture on the right).

What can be sewn from tapestry

Google kindly gave me a huge amount of tapestry images. True, most of them on closer inspection turned out to be not tapestry at all. Many more interesting things on this topic were found on the Lookbook. So, they sew from tapestry fabric:

Vests, jackets, jackets:

Shoes, hats, bags and other accessories:

HOW TO WEAR IT?

Studying the pictures prompts the following conclusions:

1. Tapestry clothing looks good with a simple cut and tight fit. A simple style allows you to advantageously present variegated colors without overloading the image. And the density of the planting is dictated by the density of the fabric: beautiful draperies will not work here, you will get rigid folds standing with a stake.

2. It is better to sew small things from such expressive fabric than suits or maxi dresses. The predominance of the "carpet" texture can evoke associations, at best, with Scarlett O "Hara, who, out of poverty, sewed a dress from old curtains (but the curtains were green velvet, so no one noticed anything), at worst, with the French marauder of 1812 wrapped in a carpet , so as not to freeze in the Russian steppes. But even a small tapestry thing gives a zest to the image:

Look absolutely wonderful short dresses, complemented by a jacket or jacket in the theme:

Tapestry costumes, for all their beauty, look a little masquerade. Although you can build an image on this:

I unexpectedly liked how large tapestry pieces look on fat ladies. All the same carpet flowers (subject to a well-chosen color and style) give the voluminous figure a sort of boyar-merchant prowess and make a gorgeous woman out of a fat aunt. It is clear that it is not suitable for everyone, but if someone wants not to mask the completeness, but to present it effectively - why not.

3. Tapestry accessories - bags, gloves, belts and others fit perfectly into most casual suits, “make friends” with ethnic things and complement the classic images in the spirit of Mary Poppins (who, as you know, had a carpetbag, as you know). you can read a short article about tapestry bags, see pictures and sets. To be honest, I do not really perceive cloth bags in a big city, except for summer. In my opinion, these are bags for the beach, walks, shopping. Anyway, such bags as in the photo on the left. Tapestry clutches (pictured in the center) are beyond my comprehension. But "travel" bags made of tapestry and leather (photo on the right) look elegant and just ask for a casual suit along with a cane umbrella and a hat.

Tapestry Headpiece looks a little unusual, but interesting in its own way and definitely attracts attention. Best of all, laconic hats, berets, caps are obtained from this dense fabric.

Tapestry belt- an excellent addition that unobtrusively diverts a casual suit towards ethnicity or retro. Wide belts look especially great.

WHAT TO WEAR WITH?

Using theory natasha_laurel about indoor and outdoor types of appearance, we can say that tapestry is a material, undoubtedly, outdoor. This leads to its excellent compatibility with jeans and other attributes. casual style and inappropriateness in a business suit.

Today tapestry is touted as a rich and luxurious material from the Baroque era. Probably, they know better upstairs, but I confess I do not see luxury in the tapestry. Its rough, "matte" texture is not associated with the palace splendor, which is written about in fashion reviews. Either it should be a piece thing with a stunning finish (beads, silk embroidery), or a very well-chosen color scheme and appropriate accessories. By itself, tapestry is a practical and functional material, durable, ideal for the economical fashionista who wears beautiful things in the tail and in the mane, until it blows to holes. Tapestry fabric can be put on a par with tweed, corduroy, linen canvas, but not with decorative velvet, silk, chiffon.

Of course, not only the fabric itself, but primarily what is depicted on this fabric, will affect the integrity and appropriateness of the outfit. Most often, on modern tapestry clothing, you can see flowers, geometric ornaments and various subjects. Accordingly, I see three directions where a tapestry in a suit will come in handy: retro, ethnic and, so be it, baroque.

Romantic retro

Tapestry clothing with flowers and leaves of all shapes and sizes, but primarily small ones, looks great with vintage and pseudo-antique things. This is a good basis for a modest, romantic outfit. Tapestry jacket in a small delicate flower, worn with a slight cotton dress or with classic jeans and a lace blouse, evokes associations with Turgenev-Bunin girls, country estates and gardens, emphasizes youth and freshness.

Bright ethnics

Geometric patterns and all kinds folk motives, as well as the already mentioned flowers will fit into costumes in ethnic style, hippie, boho styles and will be appropriate in all cases when the outfit is designed to emphasize creativity and / or closeness to nature. This is exactly the case when you can dress in tapestry from head to toe. Or you can use a regular casual suit like a white shirt with blue jeans, complementing it with a bright tapestry vest and ethnic accessory.

Luxurious baroque

Ordinary "carpet" tapestry can also be combined with silk and velvet, but, again, competently approaching the process.

But an ordinary floral tapestry will look quite luxurious on shoes and accessories that fit into the Baroque style: handbags, wallets, belts.

The Baroque style is perhaps the only case when you can use fabric with plot images and fragments of paintings in clothes and accessories. Of course, the image should be single, and not "pave" the entire canvas.

WHEN TO WEAR?

Spring and Autumn- ideal time for tapestry clothing: jackets, coats and skirts. Depending on the weather, you can combine them with both light summer blouses and classic shirts, creating gentle romantic looks, or with warm knitted sweaters... At this time of the year, the tapestry is wonderfully combined with jeans, corduroy, suede and leather - the costume turns out to be warm and cozy, with ethnic or romantic overtones. Do not forget about tapestry accessories: "carpet bags" in the style of Mary Poppins fit perfectly into a demi-season wardrobe, evoke associations with foggy England with its tweed suits, macs and tea at five o'clock in the evening. With cupcakes.

In warm weather, you can wear tapestry outerwear - raincoats and jackets. They say they are now being produced with water-repellent impregnation, so even the dank Petersburg autumn is not a reason to lock a tapestry jacket in a closet.

In general, tapestry clothing and accessories, it seems to me, should be suitable for girls of the autumn color type. In stores, I most often come across fabrics of autumn colors: rich, bright and warm.

Summer the tapestry perfectly coexists with the already mentioned blouses, shirts, tops and dresses made of light summer fabrics. Tapestry jacket or mini will not let you "cook" in the heat, or freeze on a cool evening. In summer, the tapestry is wonderfully combined with linen of light shades - you get a relaxed, country-like look. A tapestry vest in a flower, worn with an embroidered shirt in the folk spirit, allows you to put a wreath on your head, and take an accordion in your hands, but at the same time preserve a playful moment: the image will not be rustic, but a country one. And, of course, summer is a golden time for tapestry bags, shoes and panama hats. Right now, you can afford to carry an inexpensive "beach" bag of some incredible color.

In winter The tapestry can be worn with heavy knitwear, knits, corduroy and of course jeans. In winter, it's time for tapestry vests trimmed with fur. And also for "boyar" coats and hats with fur trim. Personally, I don't really like the combination of tapestry with fur, but judging by the abundance of images on the Internet, it has the right to exist. In alliance with fur, the tapestry creates a kind of boyar-merchant image and allows a very interesting presentation of a plus size figure, as mentioned above.

That's all I can say about tapestry clothing. Many topics remained unaffected, since in many ways I myself have not figured it out yet: so, I have not written anything about tapestry trousers and shorts, about the selection of accessories ... I am waiting for your opinions, additions, questions, wishes!))

One of the basic accessories that can be found in any woman's wardrobe is a bag. Under a white coat, you can choose any model of a bag, from a massive one to a small clutch. You can also choose any color you like, focusing solely on your preferences.

Shoes

A white coat, depending on its cut, can be worn not only with elegant shoes with heels, but also with comfortable sneakers.

Sneakers

Athletic shoes will look good when paired with a cropped coat. The straight fit, lightweight materials and light color blend into a sporty and casual style.
