"Caterpillar, honey,
You need to go on a diet
You are too noticeable
It's unsafe.

So big and juicy
It can't be, that's for sure.
You are every sparrow,
Wants to gobble up as soon as possible!

Summer invasion of my knitted garden-knitted caterpillar :)
She is not only a positive multi-colored worm that will help you fix the main colors and count up to 7!

This little girl has a secret! All the balls that it consists of can be removed, because they are on the buttons. An interesting task for children's fingers! Detach, and then attach, hitting the button in the desired hole. After a year, children can do this for a very long time.
And on top of that, multi-colored balls are of different sizes, and you still need to compare them and line them up in order from largest to smallest, in which case the caterpillar will crawl like a real one :) This is also a task for the eye and mind.

I suggest you tie this caterpillar

Insects can be very cute, cute clumsy and always very good-natured. And even furry caterpillars, which are most often feared and despised, sometimes strike on the spot with their bottomlessly expressive eyes and kind smile! And a wonderful bow on the head! Such caterpillars are engaged in collecting flowers, cooking delicious jam from their most delicate petals, and the sweetest syrup from fragrant nectar collected in baskets. And they live in flower beds and rose gardens. Don't believe? Tie this kindest caterpillar that brings love and see for yourself that this cute creature will bring you happiness, good mood and a lot of smiles!!!

Happy knitting!

Decorative caterpillar cord is often used when knitting in the technique of Irish lace or Romanian lace, which is also called cord lace. This cord has a beautiful embossed surface with neat rounded edges, it is dense to the touch and practically does not stretch.

This master class provides a description with a photo on knitting a thin and thick caterpillar cord.

To knit a thin cord, make an initial loop on the hook, do not tighten the knot too much, and knit 1 air loop.

Crochet cord sequence: 1. Insert the hook into the initial knot. 2. Grab the working thread. 3. Pull a loop onto the hook. 4. Pick up the working yarn again and knit all the loops from the hook = 5.

6. For the tip of the lace, turn the work clockwise by 180 0.

7. Insert the hook into two half loops from the side. 8. Grabbing the working thread, pull the second loop on the hook. 9. Grab the working thread and knit 2 loops from the hook = 10.

11. Again, turn the work at the tip of the lace 180 0 in the same direction, on the side you can clearly see two half-loops in a pair for which you need to insert the hook = 12. 13. Grabbing the working thread, pull the second loop onto the hook. 14. Grab the working thread again and knit 2 loops from the hook.

Knit the cord "caterpillar" constantly repeating from the 11th step to the 14th until it reaches the desired length.

Thick cord "caterpillar" knits according to the same principle, but the steps for its implementation are somewhat more complicated.

1. To knit a thick cord, you need to dial 3 air loops. 2. Insert the hook first into the second loop of the chain, grabbing the working thread, pull the second loop onto the hook. Then insert your hook into the first loop of the chain and pull up the third loop on the hook.

3. Grab the working thread and knit all three loops from the hook. 4. Turn the lace 180 0 by twisting it clockwise by the tip.

5. Insert the hook from the top side over the two half loops of the last knitted loop. 6. Grab the working thread and pull the second loop through the upper half loops onto the hook.

7. Now insert the hook into two half loops from the side of the lace. 8. Grab the working thread and pull up the third loop on the hook.

9. Grab the working thread and knit all three loops from the hook.

10. Turn the lace 180 0 by twisting it clockwise by the tip.

11. From the top side, insert the hook for two half loops. 12. Grab the working thread and pull up the second loop on the hook.

13. Insert the hook from the side for three half loops and, grabbing the working thread, pull the third loop onto the hook = 14.

Cord "caterpillar" is very popular. This cord is most often used as a belt, strap or cord for a mobile phone. It can be used as a hair ornament. Some curtains use drawstrings which give them a unique and comfortable feel. "Caterpillar" can be an excellent basis for beads or necklaces. It is quite simple to make an interesting and bright cord for the Caterpillar with a hook using a hook and even a beginner can tie it.

Crochet a caterpillar cord step by step with diagrams and descriptions

When knitting any product, if you are a beginner, be sure to use the product pattern. It greatly simplifies and facilitates the work. The wiring diagram is shown in the photo below.

To begin with, we must throw three air loops. Now we turn the knitting away from us by 180 degrees. We hook the hook under the bow of the first loop. Having captured the thread, we should get two threads. We catch the thread again and stretch it through a couple of loops on the hook. Turn back 180 degrees.

By inserting a hook under the resulting bow, we must grab the thread. We get two loops, through each of them we stretch the captured thread. Again we turn away from ourselves, we got two arches. We introduce the hook under the arms and grab the threads twice. Pull yarn through both loops. We turn it off again, insert it, grab the thread with a hook and stretch it.

We repeat the sequence of actions until you get the cord of the length you need.

Wide cord.

With the help of a hook, you can get not only a thin cord, but also a wide one. This cord is more like a ribbon. It knits in almost the same way as the previous cord, but still there are slight differences in the knitting pattern.

We collect three air loops, grab the thread with a hook and pull it through the second loop. Insert the hook into the first loop and pull up another loop on it. Crochet all three loops.

We rotate the product 180 degrees. Entering the hook from above, we can tie the last loop in two half loops. Take your hook and put on the second loop.

We catch two half-loops from the side of the lace, grab the thread and throw the third loop on the hook. Again we knit three loops and do not forget to take the thread.

Rotate 180 degrees. From above we cling to a pair of half loops and pull another loop onto the hook. We knit three loops.

Knit until you get the desired result.
