Weaving baubles from 6 threads of a floss. How to weave thread baubles for beginners? The easiest and fastest way

Do you like to make various decorations with your own hands? The handmade style is popular now in all possible industries where creativity is applied. Read about how to weave a floss. You will learn a lot of interesting things. Useful tips and tricks will allow you to quickly master the technique, even if you have not done anything like this before.

What is required

If you decide to learn how to weave floss bracelets, you should prepare for the practical work in advance. You need to have the following:

  • threads of different shades;
  • scissors;
  • pin or other fastening element.

The colors of the threads are very different. The minimum number of tones is two. It is not very interesting to weave a bracelet from one shade, since its main beauty is precisely in the pattern that the knots form. You can use not only floss, but also other types, for example yarn for knitting. Mouline thread is most often taken for weaving, since the skeins are made very bright, and the color scheme allows you to choose a variety of shades. In addition, the threads are thin, so the knots are neat. Also, a bracelet on a fork made of elastic bands can be very effective. Once you have mastered the technology of creating and yarn, it will not be difficult to move on to a more modern material.

Design and weaving methods

Before you start learning how to weave floss bracelets, you should familiarize yourself with the possibilities of this type of creative activity. The data is also called as it was originally customary to give it to friends. Accordingly, the products had to carry certain information about the owner, donor or their relationship. Now the sacredness of things has been largely lost, and many people make them as jewelry for themselves. However, the patterns created on bracelets, also called baubles, are usually not chosen by chance. In part, they are determined by the experience of the needlewoman and the available thread colors or patterns.

There are two ways of weaving:

  1. Oblique.
  2. Direct.

The first method is simpler and is used by most. Ornaments are usually created from knots running diagonally one after another in different directions. Diamonds, stripes, herringbones are often chosen motifs.

Straight weaving is more complicated, but it allows you to create original ornaments, including inscribing certain text into the bracelet. It is because of this opportunity that straight weaving is popular. Usually names, initials or phrases indicating love and friendship are interwoven.

In this case, most often there is a thread that forms the background. It should be much longer. The main tone is woven with threads of a picture or text.

Thread attachment options

In order to understand how to make a bracelet from threads with your own hands quickly and correctly, you should master the main types of knots. And also to make the work as convenient as possible. To do this, it is important to securely fasten the threads before weaving. This can be done in the following ways:

  • on a pin;
  • clamp;
  • scotch tape;
  • on a special tablet.

The first step is to tie all the threads into a knot so that they do not bloom, and then pin them to the fabric on a hard surface, such as a tablecloth, with a pin. In the case of a clip or tape, it is enough to secure the ends of the threads, even without a knot. You just need to evenly distribute them at a suitable distance and tape them to a table or plastic sheet. It is convenient to use a clip to attach it to a book. When using a tablet for needlework, it is convenient to make the necessary notes on its surface during work. Choose the method of securing the working threads the one that seems most convenient to you.

As for securing the threads after the end of weaving, it is enough to make, for example, a pigtail or two, and then fasten it with a knot or immediately tie a knot without braids, leaving an element that looks like a tassel. You can make the same elements of the bracelet tie on both sides or provide a clasp.

Symbols on the diagrams

If this is your first time deciding to try your hand at making jewelry, you can start with the simplest method, where no templates are required. The bracelet is easy to weave in the form of a regular braid, as you once did for a doll. Take three strands of different shades or six, connecting in pairs, and weave a regular pigtail. A little more complicated, but also without much difficulty, you can make an element from four threads.

To understand how to make a bracelet from threads with your own hands using knots and obtaining beautiful patterns, you need to study the main ways of creating these knots, as well as learn how to read jewelry schemes. All templates use a consistent notation system. The plate is shown in the following photo.

For a knot, one of two designations can be used under each number. The most common variant is with arrows. By remembering these conventions, you can easily understand any pattern.

How to choose the number of threads and their length

If you have selected the patterns of the bracelets with which you will work, and understand how the product will be performed, you can proceed to practice. First of all, calculate how many threads you need. Schemes are found with both even and odd numbers. Moreover, there are options that are designed specifically for even or. So, if the width of the bracelet on the template does not suit you, to increase it, you will have to add the number of threads in pairs, left and right, one at a time.

As for the length of the threads, it is not always possible to accurately determine it immediately. It depends on the size of the bracelet, that is, the thickness of the wrist and the width of the hand, if the jewelry does not have a clasp. If you apply schemes for and all threads will be used evenly, the original length is usually determined by calculating the length of the finished product multiplied by four. In general, it is better to cut off immediately with a margin, so that at the end of the work you can tie a neat knot and weave a pigtail as a completion.

If you run out of thread in the middle of a job, or if it breaks, don't be discouraged. Take a new one of the same color and continue to work in the desired place, leaving the beginning of the thread on the wrong side. After a few knots have been made, turn the bracelet inside out and tie the beginning of the new thread to the end of the first. Cut off excess. As a result, the knot of the connection will turn out to be invisible.

Where to begin

Before mastering the complex patterns of bracelets, you should practice creating different types of knots. You can create a simple bracelet based on knot # 1 or # 2 from the legend table. In this case, you will not have a specific pattern, you just get alternating oblique stripes of different colors, directed from left to right or vice versa.

Use the following illustration to create a simple bracelet with a pattern-like surface. Weaving always starts with the thread on the far left. In symmetrical about the center of the pattern, the left thread is used exactly to the middle, then the work begins in a mirror image from the far right. The threads that have become central are tied together with an ordinary knot, and the work begins to repeat again symmetrically, guided by the pattern.

How to weave a thread bracelet for beginners

Here is the sequence for making a herringbone decoration. The actions will be as follows:

1. Cut the desired even number of threads of approximately the same length and several shades of paired colors. Tie the elements in a knot and fasten on a pin so that the threads are distributed symmetrically relative to the center in shades, that is, the pairs of extreme, second, etc. will be the same to the middle.

2. Begin with the thread on the far left. Place it in a four on the second from the left and tie a knot. You can also perform two nodes. Repeat the same on the right side, mirror-like with the two outermost threads.

3. Make such knots from the working thread and next to the center also symmetrically on both sides.

4. Do the same with the center threads. As a result, those elements that were initially extreme became average.

5. Tie the threads that are now in the middle with a regular knot. The first herringbone element is ready.

6. Repeat the entire sequence of weaving listed above, only using the threads that became the outermost ones (they were originally the second).

7. Repeat all the steps with all the remaining pairs of threads, until the extreme ones again become those that were in these places initially.

8. Continue braiding in the same way to the desired length. Secure the threads and the decoration is done. These simple thread bracelets can be made quickly with your own hands.

Having mastered the weaving technique in this way, you can create simple patterns yourself. It is enough to use a different number of threads, differing combinations of pairs, for example, not four different colors, but only two, that is, along the edges in the previous pattern, place the blue ones as they are, the second ones are pink, and then repeat the sequence of these colors in the same combination. ... You will get a different drawing. Also, the above-shown "herringbone" can be blue on the left, pink on the right, etc. Only due to different color combinations it is easy to obtain a very large number of patterns with one technology.

How to weave bracelets from threads: patterns

If you decide to make something more complicated, use the templates below. In the first version, only four threads are used. If you forget the symbols, refer to the label of the corresponding section.

The second pattern allows you to weave a nautical decoration. It will already be wide enough, since it consists of thirteen threads.

When all eighteen rows of the template are completed, determine how many times you still need to repeat the elements of the pattern to the desired length.

Use regular yarn

If you do not have a floss on hand and you are thinking how to weave bracelets from knitting threads, the answer is simple - just the same. Use the same patterns, just consider the thickness of the yarn.

For example, for the pattern with rhombuses, which is shown just above, it is quite possible to use thick threads, since there are only four of them.

Additional decoration ideas

By the way, bracelets from or floss can not only be woven according to the indicated technologies, but also significantly diversify the products by weaving beads, beads, chain links and other details suitable for style into knots. It is easy to add elements to an already made bracelet, for example, stick a ribbon with rhinestones.

from rubber bands

Elastic bands are another very popular material for weaving. They are sold in single-color packaging, as well as in large sets of different shades. For weaving, you need a special machine, but it is not difficult to make such a bracelet on a fork. Thanks to the bright colors of the source material and ease of manufacture, such products will be a great gift idea for girlfriends for any occasion.

So, you have learned how to weave bracelets from As you can see, it is not difficult. And if such material is not at hand, you can use the existing one - ordinary yarn for knitting or crocheting. In all cases, you can get beautiful and original jewelry.

A handmade gift will touch everyone's heart. Hand made products have nothing to do with serial factory production and it is believed that they have their own soul. In Soviet times, creativity was given a not very honorable place as a cute hobby. The flourishing of industry, the factory similarity of goods were considered the norm, which dulled imagination, a person's desire to create things, household items and decorations by hand. Over time, the excellent taste, the desire to express oneself, the desire to possess exclusive gizmos won out. So the art of hand made again came into fashion, breathing new life into many forgotten types of applied art. Weaving is considered one of the oldest creative trends. It is easy to use the applied method to create original accessories, jewelry, household items and even clothes. Therefore, the question of how to weave baubles is invariably relevant for modern followers.

The origins of ancient art

In most countries of the world, baubles are known under the name "friendship-bracelets", in translation the name means "friendship bracelets". The traditional weaving of baubles goes back centuries. The North American Indians gave birth to an unusual accessory, their vital activity was invariably accompanied by mysticism, magical rituals.

Native American wearing a traditional headdress

Initially, bracelets, belts woven from plant fibers, leather cords, straw, and other materials had a sacred meaning. Jewelry protected the owners from evil spirits, hatred, envy of enemies. In addition to the cult significance, the gizmos could wordlessly tell about a person's belonging to a certain class, the main purpose in the tribe.

Information was provided by everything, from colors, patterns to weaving material. Since ancient times, there has been a tradition of giving baubles made with your own hands, as a sign of deep affection and friendship. With the help of simple accessories, peace was established between two people, family clans, entire tribes.

Fenichka was worn until she was torn herself. If a person dared to remove a gift, this was considered a bad sign, a signal of the end of a friendly union.

Later, the tradition of exchanging friendship bracelets from the North American tribes was adopted by the followers of the hippie culture. Ardent opponents of any manifestation of wealth, deliberate luxury, they appreciated the generous gifts of nature to mankind.

Hippies revive the tradition of weaving baubles

Hippies were the first to revive the tradition of expressing secret feelings with hand-woven baubles. At the wedding ceremony, the "children of flowers" exchanged as a sign of eternal love not rings made of precious metals, but simple baubles.

The same pattern shows that young people are a couple

As a rule, weaving was performed in red and white colors as evidence of free views on love. The same pattern showed that the young people were a couple. Gradually, the deep sacred meaning of jewelry was lost, however, the popularity of baubles around the world does not slow down.

Baubles will complement any modern look

Thanks to the free Internet space, and our website in particular, at any time it is easy to learn how to weave baubles from various types of threads, beads, satin ribbons.

Weaving bracelets from fine threads is a painstaking work. But even a child can cope with a task successfully and fall in love with an interesting activity, having learned the secrets of how to weave baubles. In the modern world, art is popular for any age group. Admirers of creating hand made jewelry are not only girls, but also guys of any age. A few tips from experienced weavers:

  • When embarking on a laborious but exciting activity, you should choose a convenient place, take a comfortable position to work on the first masterpiece.
  • Novice craftsmen should take care of the weaving work surface. This can be a planchette from a stationery store with a clip, a pillow, a board upholstered in fabric.

Stationery planchette is ideal for weaving fenechsek
  • The choice of material is an important factor in the quality, aesthetics and neatness of a product. We choose threads that are strong, with a smooth surface, evenly dyed along the entire length. If the thread is "naughty", fluffing during the weaving process, this violates the aesthetics of the accessories and can "hide" a beautiful textured pattern. It is worth paying attention to the reputation of manufacturers, giving preference to the most conscientious of them. Experienced masters in the art of weaving advise to choose floss threads for baubles that meet the necessary standards, surprising with a bright color scheme.

Muline is the perfect choice
  • So that the baubles do not lose their original shape, it is necessary to tie the knots tighter in the elements of the pattern. It is important to clearly follow the schemes that will become faithful helpers in the work.
  • Color spectrum. The sacred meaning of the baubles is forgotten, but not completely lost. If you are creating a bracelet in which you put a deeper meaning than a simple piece of jewelry, you should choose wisely the theme of the pattern, the color combination. For example, blue is the color of friendship, pale green will tell about dashed hopes, white is a shade of purity, faith in ideals, and pink is a dream, energy, love.

Advice:

If you decide to become a real phoenkoplet, you should get a "magic chest". Organization of work and preparation is the most important stage in any handicraft. Materials, tools, sketches of future masterpieces should be kept in one place.

An empty shoebox can be adapted for this. Mouline thread is a delicate material, it requires a reverent attitude towards itself. For storage, you can make or buy a special container, this prevents tangling and fading of the color of the threads.

Methods for weaving baubles

It is impossible to answer unequivocally how to weave baubles from threads, beads or ribbons. The first thing that beginners need to do is learn to knit the simplest knots, learn to understand patterns. The main classification distinguishes two main ways: braiding baubles in an oblique or straight way. Thanks to detailed master classes, beginners, after a short period of time, will learn to weave original jewelry, feeling like fish in water in the ancient art.

The process of weaving baubles on a tablet

The simplest pattern for a beginner

Experienced fenkoplet masters skillfully weave entire collections of original jewelry, turning their favorite hobby into a profitable business. Beginners should take their time; they need to start small. By comprehending science gradually, you can reach the highest level of mastery. The most familiar and simple way to weave a fennel of friendship is a "pigtail" pattern, from three classic parts. For this, any number of threads is used, but always a multiple of three.

Pigtail pattern, classic three-piece

You can complicate the work by adding a fourth thread. The algorithm is as follows:

  • We fix the threads on the working surface, you can tie them together with a simple knot.
  • We start weaving. Of the two central parts, the left component is superimposed on the right one. She, in turn, is superimposed on the left side.
  • In the center, there are two extreme parts. We repeat the algorithm until we get the desired length of braiding.

Four-strand bauble

For the simplest method, an even number of constituents must be used. A little practice, and the "pigtail" will appear at lightning speed in the hands of the master. Having learned to braid a braid in four strands, you can complicate the work, using more and more parts, confident craftsmen reach fourteen.

Fenichka braid of four strands

This kind of weaving can be used not only for creating bracelets. An original memorable gift for a friend, relative or loved one will be a bookmark for a book or notebook, a keychain for a phone, a purse or keys.

Oblique weaving method

One of the simplest, understandable for a beginner, techniques is oblique weaving.

Fenichka made by oblique weaving

Work algorithm:

  1. We select twelve pieces of thread, sort them by color. To get a harmonious combination of shades, we lay out the threads of the same shades in a mirror image: red on the sides, then two orange, and so on. We continue to lay out in a mirror-like manner, sorting by color, aiming to the center.

Important!

For the oblique weaving method, the length of each of the threads is at least 1 meter. It should be noted that the desired length of the bauble will decrease by four times.

  1. We tie the bundle with a strong knot located eight centimeters from the edge of the threads.
  2. We start the process, starting from the far left side. We add it with the adjacent component so that a "four" is formed. Thread the first thread into the resulting window, tighten the knot. Let's repeat the maneuver. We do the same with the extreme threads, but on the other side.
  3. You need to braid the pattern so that the colors on the inside are located on the outside. We complete the first row by tying the extreme components of the weaving together in two knots.
  4. We repeat the rows as many times until we get the desired length.

Fenichka oblique weaving, master class

At the end of the work, we tie the threads together into a tight knot, so the weaving does not fall apart while wearing the accessory. It is important to follow the order of execution of the elements in the first few rows, then they themselves fit in the correct sequence.

Fenichka - oblique weaving

As a result, we will get a textured pattern. By the way, if you made a mistake with the order of the thread and tied a knot where it does not belong, you can gently undo it with a sewing needle or tailor's pin, tying it correctly.

It is believed that this method is more complicated than the previous one. The ability to create bracelets from straight weaving threads speaks of a high level of craftsmanship. All kinds of patterns, phrases or names can be braided into such a decoration. Before learning how to weave baubles using the direct method, it is important to master simpler techniques, to learn how to work with several colors at the same time.

Straight braided baubles

To create a distinctive patterned bracelet, you need to follow a step-by-step master class:

  • We select strands of thread in different colors. It is important to conditionally separate the parts to create the background of the product, as well as separately for the pattern or lettering. If you plan to make the pattern large, choose the strand for it longer than the others, because the picture is formed only from it.
  • Let's conventionally designate the extreme thread on the left, let's call it the leading one. We tie it around all the remaining strands of thread.
  • At the moment when the main part reaches the opposite edge, we will continue to work in the same way, but in the mirror direction. It turns out that the thread moves in a zigzag manner, changing direction.
  • The creation of a pattern or inscription on a bracelet begins with weaving the main thread and the one that is supposed to be used for the pattern.

The work of creating baubles in a straightforward way is difficult and requires care. Painstaking work will be more than rewarded to the master with an author's bauble with a beautiful pattern or an exclusive inscription.

Fenichka with a name

Name bracelets are a classic gift for a friend. Such a present is symbolic, without words it will be able to express the depth and sincerity of feelings for a loved one. To make such a bauble, you can use threads of several shades, but even two colors can be used to weave a beautiful memorable product.

Baubles with various inscriptions

A few tips to help you get started:

  1. A bracelet with a name can be woven from both threads and beads strung on a fishing line.
  2. The scheme of the direct method is taken as a basis; a stencil can be used for a harmonious and even arrangement of letters.
  3. Calculate the width of the bracelet correctly. The size of the letters should be slightly smaller than the width of the product.

Fenichka with a name

The stencil for the inscription can be made by hand. The pattern of weaving of the future bracelet is applied to the paper, the optimal distance between the letters is calculated in order to beautifully, evenly place the inscription completely.

When the thread ran out

The creation of bracelets from threads, ribbons, cords, beads is an ancient art. Success depends on many factors, including desire, imagination and the talent of the master. In order for a product to meet the highest requirements for quality, durability and aesthetics, you need to know a few secrets. One of the main ones is the ability to discreetly tie a thread. There are often cases when the master fails to calculate the length of the thread correctly, and sometimes it can break during the knitting process. Do not despair, everything is fixable. We do this:

  1. We drive the thread that is over or broken, under the wrong side of the product, while leaving a sufficient length for the fastening knot.
  2. We substitute the component of the same color to the place where the gap occurred, but from the wrong side.
  3. We will tie it with two classic knots. From the inside out, we will knit a thread that was reintroduced into work with the one that ended.

What to do if the thread runs out

Such a simple maneuver will help to continue working, the place where the two threads are fastened will hide from the seamy side, without violating the external aesthetics of weaving.

Master classes on original bracelets

The synthesis of textures, materials and varieties of pattern combinations creates an extraordinary effect, which is important in the manufacture of original gizmos. Hand made is appreciated for the fact that each craft is unique in nature.

Each craft is unique

Having an author's sample, you can be sure of its exclusivity. Even if the methods and techniques of creation are similar, engaging in your favorite hobby encourages imagination, bold experiments. Needlewomen and lovers of applied arts have creative thinking, are in a tireless search for new forms, ideas and design solutions.

Ethno style baubles

Combining incompatible, techniques, materials, they give rise to style and beauty. This is the only way the evolution of creativity takes place, generously presenting us with the luxurious results of the work of talented craftsmen. We offer several ideas for stylish crafts that you can create with your own hands.

Elegant bauble with rhinestones

Baubles decorated with rhinestones

For the lesson you will need rhinestones, nylon threads, a sharp sewing needle. We carry out everything in stages:

  1. We knit a bracelet in any convenient technique - in an oblique or straight way.
  2. Sew the base with stitches in the middle or on the sides. When making a stitch, we string a rhinestone, beads or bead so that they are located on the front side.

Important!

Weaving decor, sparkling rhinestones, colored beads, beads or thorns into the pattern, we do not break the threads, but push them apart with an awl or a needle so as not to break, not to break the delicate structure.

  1. If the level of skill allows, we string the decor on a fishing line or thread directly during production.

Decorated bracelets

It is important to ensure that the arrangement of the decor is uniform. To do this, you can prepare in advance a visual diagram on paper.

Chains are a constant trend, a stylish accessory for your everyday look. With the help of a chain, you can create luxurious collections or simply update a thread bauble.

Bright bauble on a chain
  • Let's take a ready-made base, woven by any method. We measure out a chain of the same length.
  • We will pass the thread through the needle at the beginning of the warp, tying its end with the inserted thread.
  • Gently pushing the knots with a needle, sew tightly along the edge of the chain.
  • We make the stitches in the same way as the distance between the links.
  • Sew to the end of the base, fasten it tightly, tying it with a double knot.

Finishing the lesson, we will cut off the remnants of the thread and enjoy the beauty of the new elegant jewelry in our author's collection. How to decorate this or that result of painstaking work, fantasy will tell, as well as ready-made ideas.

We use the macrame technique

Creativity is an unexplored world full of fantasy, experimentation and new ideas. Craftsmanship in needlework is determined by the extent to which a master can combine several techniques, creating an author's masterpiece.

Fenichka in macrame technique

Macrame is an old technique known since ancient times. In addition to useful pots, textured panels, tablecloths or curtains, you can create elegant decorations using an unusual technique.

Necklace made using macrame technique

For a special chic, you can take as a basis any metal pendant, beads, beads and any other decor. Before you start knitting, you need to briefly familiarize yourself with the known methods of knitting macrame knots. The main helpers in creating a masterpiece will be a square, flat or double-sided knot. Experienced macrame masters recommend training in tying knots, bringing the movements to automatism, and only after that begin to embody a creative project. We need a skein of nylon cord, a metal pendant in the form of a ring or an "infinity" sign, scissors and a thin needle. We carry out step by step:

  • We cut the nylon cord into several components: two cuts of 17 centimeters, two more of 50, one 25 centimeters.
  • Bend a half-meter segment, stretch the resulting loop into the suspension, tightening it with the other end. We do the same with the second segment.
  • Take a piece 75 cm long, fold it in half, placing its center on the cord, which is already tied to the harness.
  • We turn the right component to the left, and the left one, in turn, we wind up from above the right, "diving" into the loop from top to bottom.
  • We tighten the tight knot, repeating the same maneuver, but in a mirror image. Weave the combination alternately, in the left and right directions, until the desired size of the bracelet.

Fenichka knot macrame

You can end the lesson here by tying the ends of the cord tightly. For the convenience of putting on the product, we will separately tie the fastener. We tie a piece 25 centimeters long, bend it in half, and again knit knots left and right. With the cords in the center, we can adjust the girth on the wrist, easily removing it.

Extravagant motives

Style is created in the smallest detail. Fashion accessories, original details - all this forms a unique image. Exclusive "tricks" add not only luxury, original elegance to fashionistas, but also self-confidence. Skillful use of the most common materials in the hands of a talented needlewoman can turn into an extravagant piece of jewelry.

Various baubles

We offer a master class on creating a fancy accessory from ordinary hex nuts and cotton rope. Manufacturing algorithm:

  • From the skein we measure three segments of the same length, stepping back five centimeters, we tie the ends together in a tight knot.
  • We start weaving in the form of an ordinary pigtail. Having done a few simple elements, we begin to thread the cords into the hexagons one by one.
  • Before braiding the left strand, thread the nut, press it tightly, wrap the strand. Repeat the same with the right side.

Important!

No matter how thick the threads or cords are, the weaving should be tight. So the bauble will hold its shape, and the decorative element braided into a pattern will not dangle freely, thereby wearing out the base.

  • We repeat the steps, accurately calculating the distance between the elements, distributing the hexagons evenly.
  • We finish the weaving with a pigtail again, tie knots at the ends and attach a metal fastener.

How to make a spiked bracelet

An extravagant bracelet with hex nuts will decorate not only a woman's look, but also become a stylish accessory for a man.

Fenichka - a symbol of friendship

Having studied art, you can create not only bracelets, but also belts, beautiful necklaces or necklaces.

We offer an interesting master class "necklaces of friendship". For work, you will need a skein of light cotton rope, scissors, several shades of floss. We will use metal nuts and washers for decoration. To make the braiding process easier, you will need empty spools for winding. We begin to weave a two-tone necklace, choosing a red and lilac shade. By getting used to work, you can use more shades. Let's get down to the process:

  • Choose two colors of floss, wind the threads on spools. We tie the ends of the threads and the main rope with a strong knot. The length of the working components is impressive, so the end of the future product can be secured with a pin on the sofa or with tape on the table surface.
  • We begin to braid the main thread with red, the lilac component remains in the left hand. We make sure that the rope, which will become the base, is taut all the time.
  • We start a red strand by folding the loop directly above the base rope, while the coil “dives” into the loop in the “bottom-up” direction. Pull the coil exactly to the right, then up, gently pulling the element into a knot. We repeat the algorithm until we decide to change the color of the weaving.
  • Next, we shift the spool with red threads to the left hand, and take the spool with the new color to the right. We continue a similar repetition of elements, but in a different shade.

Thread necklaces

The decor, as a rule, is woven in the process of work, but after the end of the process, it can be hung or sewn onto the finished product. A necklace or belt looks subtle, stylish, and distinctive. The more flowers and tiers you weave, the more interesting the effect will be.

Simple beaded bracelet

Beads are one of the oldest types of decorative ornaments. A scattering of small beads was used to decorate antique togas, the outfits of the Egyptian pharaohs and medieval kings. From a seemingly simple material in the skillful hands of a master fenkoplet, truly masterpieces are born, adorning any image.

Beaded bracelet with floral motif

Small beads with a hole are flexible in work, which is why beadwork is most often used to create baubles. Before weaving, you should learn how to make patterns. They are very different, from the simplest variations to complex intricacies of patterns. We present the easiest way to weave a bauble and pattern patterns:

  • we collect several beads on the fishing line;
  • we fix the element by passing the end of the fishing line into the previous bead;
  • string the next bead, again threading the fishing line into the bead of the previous row.

How to weave beaded baubles - a simple lesson

This is the easiest way to weave and fix beads. It remains only to choose a suitable drawing scheme and translate the drawing into a beautiful reality. Another master class for weaving a bracelet from threads and beads:

  1. We choose a strong and bright thread 1.2 meters long, a set of beads, prepare scissors, a sewing needle and a small button for fastening.
  2. We divide the thread into two components 50 and 70 centimeters long. We fold the longer segment in half, apply a shorter segment to it, putting the ends of all the components together. We tie it so that we get a loop, two cuts of 35 centimeters come out of it, and one tip is shorter.
  3. The loop should remain such that the button-fastener "sits" tightly on it, as if it were molded in, and then cut off the remaining tip.
  4. From the three components, we will begin to weave a classic "braid", continuing the pattern with a length of about three centimeters.
  5. We begin to string alternately on the left, then on the right strand of the bead, continuing to braid the "braid".

Advice:

It is important to braid the pattern tightly, adjusting the position of the beads so that they "look" in one direction. Then the work looks symmetrical and neat.

  1. Having finished weaving with beads, we finish the bracelet with a standard braid. We fasten the weaving with a strong knot.
  2. We make a clasp from a button. We put it on the ends of the threads, tie a knot, cut off all unnecessary. Putting the bracelet on our wrist, we will fasten the button with a loop.

How to weave a beaded bauble

When the work comes to automatism, patterns will begin to be born by themselves, because creativity exists undividedly with fantasy. Beaded baubles sparkling with a noble shine will become a luxurious addition to a business woman's outfit, a light romantic sundress or an exquisite evening dress for a social event.

Exclusive handmade bracelets

Bright, touchingly delicate, distinctive and stylish baubles are not just a decoration, but a real symbol of friendship, a way to wordlessly express sincerity and depth of feelings. Bold experiments, the desire to create an exclusive author's masterpiece will help a beginner to decide on the choice of materials, draw up a weaving pattern, surprise the creative world with a new design solution.

Bright bracelets will perfectly complement your boho look

There is a belief that such bracelets are not sold, but only presented to people dear to their hearts. Many fenkoplets believe that such a piece of jewelry will be able to fulfill any cherished desire, you just need to think about it properly in the process of work. There are many ways to weave baubles. Do not hesitate to use ready-made master classes for learning new art, because in the future your ideas will help beginners.

There are two ways to weave baubles - oblique and straight. If you want to be able to understand circuits - read this article! When making baubles according to patterns (anime, games, TV shows), you can use a variety of weaving methods.

Even a child can learn this art, this does not require any special talents, efforts or many years of practice.

"Bracelets of friendship" can be presented to your loved one or worn by yourself, because such an original piece of jewelry is much more appreciated due to the fact that it is made with your own hands.

The methods of weaving baubles differ, first of all, depending on the type of material used for work. First, you should pay attention to the weaving of baubles from floss threads. This method is divided into straight and oblique weaving with threads.

The simplest weaving is oblique. The main thing here is to know 2 main nodes: the node to the right and the node to the left.

In the picture: knot to the right, knot to the left, tatting knots.

This is how they look. As you can see, there is nothing particularly complicated about them. With the help of these knots, you can make a floss bracelet according to any scheme. How to read diagrams? Very simple.

Lines are threads. You can take any color of the thread, but it is desirable that it be dark or light, similar to the original. The circles are the knots between the threads that you will be knitting. The letters at the top indicate the thread color. There are 6 nodes in the first row: 3 to the right, 3 to the left. Above, we learned these nodes. In the second p. 5 knots. Thread B is deposited, 4 knots to the right, 1 to the left. The last thread B is left aside. Third row: then we work in the same way.

If the diagram shows a "broken arrow" - this is a tatting knot (see the picture). We finish to the end of the diagram - we start it over.

Straight braiding baubles

Straight weave is usually used to create some kind of patterns, words or names. In this case, two colors of threads are selected - one weaves a background, the other a word or a drawing. A straight line is considered much more difficult than an oblique. But on the other hand, you can find a huge number of all kinds of patterns for weaving: patterns with names, colors, pictures, and so on.

This weaving is performed, in contrast to oblique, horizontally. You need to move from right to left, and in the next row - from left to right. It's easier to start learning with 2 colors. The background and the leading thread with which the knots are made. To get a beautiful background - fold the thread 2 times. Knit knots on the background thread. Having reached the end of the row, the transition to the second row. We work in the opposite direction.

What else are baubles made of

An equally popular technique, which is also included in the methods of weaving baubles, is the manufacture of bracelets using satin ribbons. This technique is absolutely uncomplicated and consists in threading one loop from a ribbon to another. And in this way the bracelet is woven along the entire length.

Methods for weaving baubles also include patterns for making beaded bracelets. But learning this technique should be started after mastering weaving from floss threads.

For work you will need fishing line and beads. There are also special sketches that show examples of patterns, you can use them for beading or come up with interesting designs yourself.

A bauble made of beads, floss or ribbons is a wonderful souvenir or accessory to clothes.

Multicolored baubles made of floss threads

Baubles are bracelets woven from threads with your own hands. In this article, we will tell you how to weave floss baubles in various ways. For most people, this is just a strong and original accessory, but at one time these accessories were part of the ethnic culture. Weaving bracelets is a simple and exciting activity that anyone can master.

A little about the history of baubles

The tradition of making such accessories dates back to the Indians of North America. Fenechka for them had more symbolic meaning than aesthetic. First of all, thread bracelets symbolized friendship and love relationships. The jewelry donated by a friend was not removed from the wrist until the thread broke by itself. If a person decided to take off such a bracelet, this could mean the end of friendship and was a serious insult.

In the twentieth century, hippies adopted the tradition of weaving baubles from threads, and soon the whole world learned about these original jewelry. Young people also used bracelets as symbols of friendship and loyalty. They were exchanged during fraternization and were even worn instead of wedding rings. Over time, the function of decoration began to come to the fore, but exchange always meant friendship.

Methods for securing threads for weaving

Weaving baubles from a floss always begins with securing the threads in one of the most convenient ways.

We fix the bauble with a clerical clip
We fasten the bauble with a pin
We attach the threads with tape to the surface
We attach the bauble to a special board with a clip on top

You can choose any, depending on what accessories are at hand.

  • The first option is with a clerical clip. You can attach it to a book or other platform. In this case, the threads must be arranged in an order corresponding to the future pattern, and pressed tightly.
  • The second option is with a pin. The threads are knotted on one side, placed in the correct order on a pin, and pinned to the fabric in any convenient place.
  • The third option is the simplest, the threads are attached with tape to a suitable surface, for example, to a table.
  • The fourth option is using a tablet (a special board with a clip on top). For more convenient fixation, you can put a ruler between the threads and the clamp, fix the weaving pattern and any marks necessary for work in the same place.

The main types of weaving baubles

You can weave baubles from threads in different ways, tying knots in an oblique direction (for an easier way) or in a straight direction (for a more complex one).

Beautiful straight weave patterns

By knitting such knots in straight rows, you can weave beautiful patterns according to patterns. However, the simplest bauble is performed without knots at all, and the threads are intertwined with a pigtail. Let's see how to make a bauble for beginners in simple ways.

In addition to the usual three-part version of the braid, you can make baubles from floss, using weaving with four or five braids. To braid four or any other even number of threads, in each new step you need to select the central pair of threads: throw the left thread to the right side, and the right thread to the left. In the case of weaving from an odd number of threads, the leftmost thread is moved to the center, then the rightmost thread, and work continues in a similar pattern.

Types of weaving baubles

Basic knots for braiding baubles

Oblique weaving of bracelets

Mouline baubles for beginners are most often weaved in this way. Let's take a closer look at how to weave a bauble using the example of a simple multi-colored bracelet.

Birch thread bauble

You will need threads of six colors, of which 12 paired segments about a meter long are obtained. The approximate thread consumption can be calculated by multiplying the desired length of the jewelry by 4. You can weave the bauble a little narrower or wider, the main thing is that the threads are paired. We fasten the threads in any convenient way (leave the ends 8-9 cm each) and arrange them symmetrically: for example, two blue ones in the center, two yellow ones on either side of them, and so on.

The weave should start with the thread from the left edge. We slightly move the first thread to the side and cross it with the second, thread the end of the first thread into the formed window. We repeat the same steps again, without changing the thread, for the second part of the knot. Similarly, braid the knot on the right side with strands 12 and 11, but this time in a mirror image (from right to left).

On the left, we continue to tie the knots with the same thread as the first, braiding each thread in turn on the left side. We also weave on the right. In the middle, two working threads meet, we tie a similar knot between them. Now we will tie the knots with a pair of threads of a different color, which turned out to be at the edges of the future bracelet, we repeat the scheme the required number of times. The result is a herringbone-shaped pattern.

At the end of the work, all the threads are tied in a knot, and the remaining ends are braided with a pigtail. An incorrectly made knot can be gently loosened during operation using a needle or a thin crochet hook.

How to weave according to oblique weaving patterns

Straight weaving method

Bracelet weaving patterns in this way are varied and can be very complex: from hearts and rhombuses to inscriptions and portraits. It is in this way that the most beautiful baubles are weaved. Let's analyze in stages how to weave a pattern on a bracelet.

Beautiful bauble from various patterns

Multicolored bauble braid

One convenient way to start a straight weave is to fold the threads in half by making a loop at the top. Attach a working thread on one side of the loop. Then we braid the entire loop with knots from a working thread.

After that, we begin the main weaving of the pattern according to the scheme. With a working thread, which is from the left edge, and should be longer than the others, we braid the warp threads alternately to the right edge. Then we change the direction of weaving to the opposite.

For the pattern, we begin to braid the working thread with the appropriate thread, and, leaving it free, we change the direction of weaving. It is not always possible to calculate the length of the working thread correctly, but there are ways to continue weaving if the thread runs out too quickly.

The algorithm is as follows:

  • We bring the rest of the thread to the wrong side, leaving a tip sufficient for tying a knot.
  • We also apply a new thread here.
  • We tie it with an ordinary double knot.
  • On the wrong side, we connect the remainder of the previous thread with the new one. The place of their connection will be invisible.

What can be added to the finished bracelet

Sometimes an accessory woven from threads with your own hands is additionally decorated with rhinestones, spikes or metal chains. A thread with rhinestones is simply sewn in the center of the bracelet with a needle and thread of a suitable color.

Variety of ready-made bracelets

The studs with attachments are also placed in the center. For one bauble, you will need to purchase chrome spikes (5 pcs.), Scissors and a screwdriver. In the marked places, you need to make small punctures with scissors. We thread the screw into the hole and tighten the spike with a screwdriver. We also install the rest.

The chain can be attached to the edge of the bracelet. For this, a floss of the same colors that were used for weaving is suitable. The knot at the end of the bracelet must be untied and tied again with the thread that the chain will be sewn on. Pierce the beginning of the bracelet with a needle, then insert the needle into the first link of the chain, similarly sew the rest of the links. After making 2 stitches at the end, we include the thread in the knot.

In addition, chains can be woven into simple braids for beginners, braiding them on one or two sides. Another interesting solution is the use of medium-sized metal nuts that are put on threads.

Weaving patterns according to patterns

Since the complexity of patterns that can be made by direct weaving is practically unlimited, you can find ready-made bauble patterns on the Internet or on our website. Another option is to use a generator or draw by hand. You can also use cross stitch patterns.

In any case, a beginner should practice weaving a floss bauble on narrow two-color patterns. The number of cells of the selected pattern will correspond to the number of threads that need to be prepared. Having picked up the threads that are most suitable in color, fix them and start work.

It is better to take the length of the threads with a margin. Many experienced craftsmen fix the threads without tearing them from the ball, and unwind it as needed during the weaving process. If this method is inconvenient for one reason or another, it is recommended to take threads 1-1.5 m.

How to understand straight weave patterns

Square knot for baubles

This is a simple weaving option that requires four pieces of thread or another multiple of four. The two extreme threads - workers - must be longer than the warp threads. To complicate and diversify this technique of weaving simple baubles from a floss, you can add small beads or beads.

Smart baubles friendship
Tri-color bauble with square knots

Stages of tying a square knot (threads are numbered in order from left to right):

  1. Draw the first thread over the second and third under the fourth.
  2. We withdraw the fourth under the second and third into the loop formed by the first thread, tighten.
  3. Again we draw the first over the second and the third under the fourth.
  4. We start the fourth behind the second and third and bring it up into the loop of the first thread, tighten the second part of the knot.
  5. You can add beads to your taste by stringing them, for example, on two warp threads.

Macrame knots in baubles

Weaving baubles with macrame square knots is quite common. Bracelets can be decorated by adding metal rings, stones, etc. For weaving, you will need 4 m of thread, metal rings or other jewelry, scissors and a needle.

Bracelet with metal insert
Bracelet with woven chain

Let's analyze step by step how to weave a macrame bauble:

  • We cut the original thread: two pieces of 75 cm, two of 50 cm and one of 25 cm.
  • Fold the 50 cm segments in half with a loop upwards, thread them into the ring on both sides and tighten the resulting knots.
  • We put one of the pieces 75 cm long under the warp threads next to the ringlet so that the ends of the thread on both sides are the same.
  • We tie square knots as described above, alternating left-sided and right-sided.
  • We repeat weaving to the required length.
  • We hide the ends of the working thread by threading them into the needle and going through the last 4-5 knots in the middle.
  • Similarly, weave the second part of the bracelet.
  • Temporarily tie the ends of the bracelet with a small piece of thread.
  • Fold the last segment in half and tie similar knots around all 4 warp threads. You should get a "lock" of knots about 1.5 cm in length. We also hide the ends and cut off the excess.
  • Choose the appropriate length of the bracelet, cut off the excess and tie knots at the ends of the warp threads.

Bracelet made of threads with beads

For this accessory, you will need about 120 cm of thread, beads or small beads, scissors and a button. The thread needs to be cut into pieces of 70 and 50 cm, the long one must be rolled up, and the short one must be bent. Then knit so that you get 3 ends of the same length (about 35 cm). The buttonhole at the start of the weave should be the same size as the button.

  • Let's start weaving baubles for beginners:
  • We braid the threads with a regular pigtail about 3 cm.
  • We put a bead on the left thread, press and cross the middle thread.
  • We put the bead on the right thread and cross the middle one in the same way.
  • We continue weaving in the same way, pressing the beads to make the bracelet tight.
  • At the end, we again braid a section of braids free of beads, end with a knot.
  • Put on the button and fix it with a double knot. Cut off the excess thread.

The bracelet is ready! You can experiment with the colors of beads, beads and the type of braids.

Clasps for braided bracelets

When weaving traditional baubles from floss threads, special fasteners are usually not used. Bracelets, which have a symbolic meaning, are never removed from the hand, so they are simply tied in knots at the wrist, and the tails of the thread are cut off.

However, modern bracelets often act as jewelry that you want to change and wear with certain looks. It also happens that a person does not have the opportunity to wear such an accessory all the time. In these cases, it is necessary to make a comfortable fastener. There are quite a few options, although not all of them are practical.

Let's consider how to make fasteners in more detail:

  • With a buttonhole and buttons. In order to get a loop at the beginning of work, you need to take threads twice as long as necessary, but in half the amount. Fold the threads in half, leaving a suitable buttonhole width. For beauty and strength, the loop is tied with knots. The button is sewn from the opposite end of the bracelet.
  • Another easy way to join the ends of a thread ornament is to sew a button to the ends.
  • You can use Velcro in the same way.
  • Sliding square knot clasp. For her, the ends of the bracelet are connected and knitted with another thread several square knots (their technique is described above). The most commonly woven "clasp" clasp is about 15 mm in length. Knots are tied at the ends of the main threads, you can also put small beads on them.
  • The loop at the end of the weaving can be done using braids: first, we divide the threads into 2 parts and weave small braids, then we connect them together and weave a braid from all the threads. We do the same with the other end of the bracelet. We thread the pigtails into opposite loops and tie.
  • You can connect the ends of the baubles with a metal buckle. In this case, on one side, the threads are attached to the buckle at the very beginning of weaving.

Making unique baubles from a floss with your hands is a fascinating creative hobby that is suitable even for those who have a little free time. Weaving can be done in any setting, delighting yourself and loved ones with stylish bracelets.

How to make a loop on a bauble

How to weave thread floss baubles, direct weaving for beginners with photos, videos. Patterns of weaving baubles from floss, knots, lessons

In this post from various OPEN INTERNET SOURCES I have collected: a short theoretical course for beginners, a huge collection of schemes (some here and a link to the post with the rest) and video tutorials on weaving baubles from a floss. The text is in places written in an absurd language (it looks like a translation) and has errors. Not everything was fixed.
Hopefully someone like me will need this.

Important! To understand everything that is written here - knots, weaving patterns - be sure to check out the video tutorials for beginners at the very bottom of the article.

Baubles are a symbol. Friendship bracelets baubles have their own history, which is briefly useful for any cultured person interested in this topic to get to know. Their history comes from the North American Indians. The local custom obliged to wear such a bauble, presented as a symbol of friendship and love, until it is completely worn out, until it breaks. The meaning invested in this custom is simple, as a sign of gratitude to a friend for the work and the warmth and love invested during weaving, it should not be removed until the moment of a spontaneous impulse. It was believed that the bracelet removed ahead of time meant the end of friendship. Later, the tradition was taken up by American hippies, for whom the symbol of the exchange of baubles already meant the process of fraternization. So gradually the decoration itself came to the fore, and brotherhood was understood as a self-evident phenomenon.

Nowadays, it is just a cute, unpretentious decoration, however, the knowledge of how to weave baubles from threads, apart from history, also has its own secret meaning. For example, different colors of threads in a product and different patterns mean different addictions of a person, that is, they have their own specific symbolism that carries information about a person. Hippies use them instead of wedding rings. These kind of engagement fennecs should be the same and give them to each other. Sometimes beaded rings are made. Weaving is a special interest, a special kind of macrame. There are many types and styles of weaving. You can start your acquaintance with weaving from the main knots, which will help you read the patterns for weaving baubles from floss threads. This borrowed scheme is simple and easy to understand. Two colors of floss threads are used here. The direction of the arrows indicates where to start the thread of a particular color. The exercise should be repeated several times until you fully understand and master the knot tying technique, on this the whole process is built.

The scheme of weaving knots for baubles from floss threads for beginners. We look carefully at the instructions on how to properly weave baubles with knots.

A separate issue is the fastening of threads for weaving. Several methods of fastening are known. You need to start your practice gradually. You will need a clerical clip to secure the threads.
Method one, to fasten the threads The threads are laid out in the order according to the pattern and attached with a clip, for example, to a book.
Method two For notes along the way, you will need a clipboard that represents a whiteboard with a clip. The threads laid out in a certain order are fixed by a clamp on the tablet.
Method three You can use a safety pin and attach the knotted threads to any convenient item, such as a pillow or jeans. You need to try to make the canvas even. Can be attached with thread and duct tape to the table.

How to start weaving floss baubles. Straight braids for beginners
Step 1 Fold the desired number of threads in half. A loop is made from above. This method of starting weaving is convenient for direct weaving of a pattern, beautiful weaving patterns are presented below.

Step 2 You need to tie the leading thread in the place that will be the beginning of the loop.

Step 3 Start braiding the threads with the above knots. Braid until a loop is formed.

The next step is tying the rest of the threads in a straight weave pattern until you get the pattern shown in the photo below.

In the pattern, the background color is performed by the leading thread, and it is necessary to braid all the other threads with it.

How to finish weaving floss baubles

It is proposed to braid the braids on both sides of the baubles, for beginners there should be no difficulties, the braiding patterns are known to everyone. Here you need to use one more thread, which will be a reference point for the place where the fastener is supposed to be made. You will need some kind of additional device to secure the pigtails for a while. For this purpose, scotch tape, strings and other handy things may be suitable. Then the braids need to be folded and secured (this method is suitable for both straight and oblique weaving). Under the pigtails, you need to thread a thread of a different color (in our case, orange)

Now braids are braided with orange thread, with a square knot. You must try not to tighten the knots too much so that inside the pigtails you can move easily. In the photo below weaving patterns with a square knot:

As a result, you should get something like the following image, in the photo below:

When finished, a double or triple knot is tied. The ends of the threads are also cut off, smeared with transparent varnish so that a fringe does not turn out. Blue threads are untied.

Baubles with clasp

If a fastener is to be made on the bauble, the threads are fixed in a certain way.

This figure shows the general fastening of the threads, and the following figure shows how to attach the threads to the buckle to make the weaving comfortable.

Straight (or oblique) weaving continues according to the selected pattern (an approximate pattern is given below). When the work is finished, you need to tie the remaining threads together in pairs so that the knots do not come loose. The ends of the threads must be bent inside out and carefully sewn with small stitches with threads that match the color. After sewing half a centimeter, the free ends of the threads are cut off. In this case, the length of a bauble made of a floss of threads should be 2 centimeters shorter than the grip of the wrist. From any soft, thin leather, 2 identical straps are cut out with a width equal to the width of the bauble. The straps are sewn on in such a way as to completely cover the sewn ends of the threads. The strap is sewn on first from the seamy side.

Then the strap is applied and sewn on from the front side. Thus, the end of the straight bracelet is sewn between the two straps. For both beginners and experienced, this option works equally well. Next, a hole is pierced in the right place. The finished bauble on your hand should look something like this:

In the work, you can use such direct weaving patterns, as shown in the photo below. Do not forget about the knots of weaving of baubles (fenek) in the corners and turns

1) A beautiful six-color scheme, you can try to make your own unique colors for each scheme, the main thing is not to get confused later.

2) In the "Yin - Yang" style. Good and evil, as they say, should be on the same level of confrontation:

3) Colored geometric shapes, squares and triangles, for lovers of contrasting colors, the result is beautiful and unusual:

4) In the form of red and blue hearts, beautifully intertwined in a pattern. Suitable for a friendly gift or for a loved one.

5) Another beautiful bauble scheme is a heart of direct weaving, it is quite suitable for beginners, you can choose the colors at your discretion:

6) Something resembling a pigtail, but for some reason is called "Cross":

7) The scheme in the form of a flame or fire, looks very cool. Average degree of difficulty:
