Leather wallet patterns

We gut any thin box or use cardboard, in extreme cases - a regular sheet. The base for the future front side will be 17X11 centimeters.
Under two pockets for notes 7,6X11. Under two slanting pockets 7.6X9X7 (one is possible). There will be three patterns applied with a pen and cut with scissors.

We circle the templates on the back of the workpiece with a pen. There should be four or five stencils in total.
We take a thin ruler as a cutting guide, you can replace it with any metal product with a straight side. With a roller cutter, cut out template pieces using stencils.
Next, a coin of 10 kopecks or a ruble, and on the largest piece with a pen, we apply rounding of the ends on them. There will be two such roundings on money pockets - where they will overlap the main part along the outer edge. One on business card pockets.

Important! Take your time with small workpieces, you will always have time to cut off the rounding of the edge. Only when you make sure in place that you definitely need to cut here, then do it. At the same time, do not confuse the outer and inner side, this happens often.

It will not take much time, but you need to be careful:

It is desirable to chamfer from the beveled edge of small pockets. This is done with a butt cutter, if it is not there, then you can try with a small needle file. You shouldn't even try with a blade, ruin it. You can leave it as is.

We mark future holes with an indent of 5 millimeters. As a starting point, you can define one of the angles - along the bisector. The distance from the edge is at the discretion of the master, conditionally - also 5 mm.
We punch the marked holes with an awl or a line punch. We put any board down.
If there is any decorative metal thing at home (badge, military symbol, emblem), then it's time to think about aesthetic decoration. Just think about how you will fix it. Stitching

In order to do this conveniently, fixing the product is necessary. Rubber or wooden pieces can be glued onto the jaws of a metal vise, they are then easily removed. We first fold the two inner pieces (when you turn it over, then the remaining ones) and fix them. We sew with a saddle stitch with two needles and threads, acting as a mirror. Only then will you have to walk again, in a checkerboard pattern - closing the open gaps without a thread. We hide the ends of the thread and knots inside.

We sew the resulting hitches according to the already completed scheme to the cover.

No matter how hard we try, the edges of the parts will always protrude - crawling onto others. They need to be leveled. We use the roller tool again for this - putting everything on the board. We cut, very carefully applying guides. Next we need:

Wax or any candle.
Vice or our manufactured fasteners.
Rolling pin.

Again we fix the wallet in our vise so that the edges look out. We rub the edges with beeswax, in case of its absence, you can try with a candle, but the result will be worse. We take an ordinary kitchen rolling pin and vigorously rub the edges with its round ends until they are completely aligned.

Reference! For this, saddlers use special trowels with slots of different diameters, but the round end of such a trowel is identical to a rolling pin. Therefore, it can and should be used for an indirect purpose. Then it is cleaned with hot water. Act discreetly and carefully, otherwise this rolling pin can get you in a soft spot.

We take our dark fabric for decoration and cut off a 4.5 cm segment of such a length that it overlaps its “tail”. This strip is recommended to be cut on an oblique. We apply the front side to the front, we chop off with pins.

You need to sew, stepping back from the edge of 1.5 cm.

We turn the lining, we pin it with pins. Sew the lining to the finishing fabric with a hidden seam.

Pin the zipper with pins and sew, stepping back from the edge of 0.5 cm, as in the photo. We hem the zipper fabric.

We fold the ears inward, stitch. Turn inside out and stuff with padding polyester.

Cut out 2 rectangles.

We take glue, and apply it to the edge of the first part. We attach a zipper and press it to fix it. We do the same with the edge of the second part.

Carefully glue the zipper.

We sew on a typewriter or on our hands a zipper to the details.

For decoration, we will make a small brush: cut the fringe with scissors, stepping back from the edge of 1 cm.

We take glue and apply it to the upper cut of the brush.

We thread a strip of leather into the hole of the zipper slider, apply a fringe and roll it up, as in the photo.

We sew the entire perimeter of the product on a typewriter or on our hands - this is how we additionally fix all the edges.

Trim the uneven edges to make the product look neat. The leather wallet is ready. You can attach a brooch to the product, or you can glue an application in the form of a cat.
