How to make a dragon from beads weaving pattern. Weave a dragon from beads with our own hands

The dragon is not only a mythical character and symbol of the East, but also a very interesting craft. It can serve as a gift for any occasion, a useful thing (for example, a key chain), or just please the eye as a piece of furniture. We invite you to learn from the workshops below how to make a dragon out of beads.

What do you need to work?

The necessary tools and materials for weaving cute little dragons include:

  1. beads (the number of pieces depends on the size of the future craft, and the flowers - on your imagination);
  2. two black beads (for the eyes);
  3. fishing line or special wire (the length also depends on the size of the figure);
  4. scissors.

Little dragons

Such little dragons made of beads and wire can be used as a keychain, bookmark, magnet, brooch, pendant and so on. It is enough just to attach a chain, ring, pin, magnet or any other fastener to the finished work.

You will need 90 to 120 centimeters of fine wire, two hundred beads in at least two different colors, and scissors.

Scheme of work

Master class - a dragon made of beads (weaving diagram is attached).

  1. String two beads on the wire and place them in the center (point A on the diagram).
  2. String two more beads on one side of the wire.
  3. Pass the other side of the wire through the last two beads (point B in the diagram).
  4. Pull up the wire. You have two rows ready (Figure C).
  5. String the three beads in the same way as you strung the previous two (illustration D).
  6. Make the fourth row of five beads, as in illustration E. At the same time, on the sides and in the middle, use the beads of the base color, and between them - the color of the eyes.
  7. Continue stringing rows in the same way with the following number of beads: five, three, three, three, four (illustration F).
  8. String seven beads on one of the wires and pass it back through the first four (illustration G).
  9. Tighten the wire (illustration H).
  10. Repeat step eight on the other wire (illustration I).
  11. String a few more rows of beads in this quantity: four, five, six, five, four.
  12. Make the legs as in steps eight through ten.
  13. String eight more rows of beads in this quantity: four, three, three, two, two, one, one (illustration J).

The beaded dragon is ready!

Dragon with wings

In order to make a flying dragon, you just need to finish the wings on another wire and attach them to the main body (for example, to the one described above).

The sequence of work on weaving dragon wings (one of the options):

  1. String one bead onto the wire (Figure 1).
  2. String four beads from one end of the wire and pass the other side through them (Figure 2).
  3. Repeat point two, only now string seven beads (you can alternate colors) (Figure 3).
  4. Make a row of ten beads in the same way as the previous two (Figure 4).
  5. String another row of fourteen beads, as in illustration 5.
  6. Now pass the right end of the wire through row number four (where you have ten pieces of beads) as follows: the wire is inserted into the first bead of the fourth row and brought out through the second into the fifth row, then returns back to the third bead. Then the line is led through the row and again brought out into the fifth through the fifth bead and returns to the sixth. The trick is repeated with the eighth and ninth beads. See Figure 6 for details.
  7. In the same way, you need to draw the left end of the wire, only in the fifth row it will pass through beads number five and nine (Figure 6).
  8. Now the left and right ends of the wire should go through the third row of beads, passing along the way several beads from the fourth. For the right side these are beads numbered four and seven, and for the left one, four, seven, ten (Figure 7).
  9. Similarly, as in the previous paragraphs, both ends of the wire are passed through the second row, "clinging" to every second bead from the third row (Figures 8 and 9).
  10. After that, one of the ends of the wire is drawn into the very first bead.
  11. Then it is passed in zigzag steps through all the beads from the top row.
  12. After that, another bead is strung, and the wire comes back (Figure 10).
  13. Then points 11 and 15 are repeated, only the wire is passed through the second bead from the second row (Figure 11).
  14. The other end of the wire is also passed through the very first bead and makes zigzag "steps", only through the row not involved in the previous paragraphs (Figure 12). An additional bead is also strung.
  15. Add a small bead in the center (Figure 13).
  16. Pass both ends of the wire through it (Figure 14).
  17. Pass both ends of the wire through all the rows as shown in illustration 15.
  18. Add small beads to the wingtips (Figure 16).

One wing is ready! Do one more to make a pair.

We attach the wings to the body

If you did everything correctly, then as a result you will have both ends of the wire on the same side. Bring them out of the outer beads, as in the first picture. Connect the wing to the dragon's body as shown in the detailed illustration below.

Tie knots at the ends of the wire.

So the flying dragon made of beads is ready! For beginners, this job will also not be difficult. And all thanks to the detailed diagram.

Flat dragon

Weaving a dragon from beads does not have to be about giving it any volume. It can be made flat, for example, like a painting. To do this, you need to find diagrams in special magazines or on the Internet. These do not have to be schematic illustrations of beading, they are also suitable for embroidery with threads.

Principle of operation:

  1. Place a leaflet with a diagram in front of you.
  2. Start weaving from the flat side or from the one with the most beads, if you are not making a picture, but a shape.
  3. Weave one row at a time.
  4. Each new row connects to the previous one in one of the following ways:
  • zigzag stitches if one end of the wire is used;
  • if you are braiding with two ends, then dial a row on one side and pass the other through it (in the same way as described in the first master class).

Tip: if your flat dragon has a lot of uneven elements, then weave them on a different wire and weave in the right places.

Volumetric dragon made of beads (the diagram is attached)

Such a craft can serve not only as a keychain, but as a very original pendant. Additionally, you will need one large bead or a beautiful bead.

Master class - a dragon made of beads (weaving diagram is attached).

  1. Insert a thick wire or thin stick into a large bead.
  2. Wrap one half of the bead next to it (Figure 1). Attach the ends of the wire to the center stick.
  3. Mosaic add several rows of beads to the first row on one side and on the other. In this case, the ball does not need to be braided anymore. Trust your imagination and make the rows colorful, for example, as in illustration 2.
  4. Connect the two parts from the previous point together. To do this, pass one and the other wire in a zigzag pattern through the outer beads of each side. Through one or two beads, braid one additional bead of a different shape, thus making a ridge. As a result, you will get the same as in Figure 3.
  5. On the side where the wire came out, your dragon will have a neck. You can continue to weave with one line or two. Add a few more rows of beads to make the neck look more authentic (Figure 4). Connect the new row with the previous zigzag "steps".

The dragon's body and neck are ready!

Volumetric Dragon Head

Master class on how to make a dragon out of beads:

  1. The head of the dragon is knitted in a circle with the same wire as the whole body and neck.
  2. Take an additional two beads of a different shape and color from the rest. These will be the eyes.
  3. Start braiding according to the attached pattern. It clearly shows in what order and how the beads should be added. In the center of the picture, red dots mark the last row of the dragon's neck.
  4. Tighten the beaded wire.

The dragon's head is ready.

We finish weaving a voluminous dragon

What is a real dragon without a comb on its head and tail?

Instructions on how to make a scallop:

  1. Complete several rows of beads.
  2. Figure 1 shows how the first row of the comb is added. Make it so that the peak falls at the level of the neck, and closer to the nose the row becomes lower (Figure 2).

Instructions on how to make a tail:

  1. Add a row of beads, joining it to the main body with zigzag stitches. Maintain the color order of the beads.
  2. Make a few more rows of beads, gradually reducing their number. The number of rows depends on how long you want the tail (Figure 1).
  3. The end of the ponytail will consist of one bead.
  4. Add two combs to the end of the ponytail (Figure 2). The scheme of work is the same as when weaving a scallop for the head.

The volumetric dragon is ready! Optionally, you can add a small ring to the line that connects the scallop to the head. Then it will be possible to attach the craft to the keys or a chain for it.

Weaving a dragon from beads, regardless of whether it is voluminous or flat, is quite an exciting activity that you can also attract children to.

Little dragon made of beads. Simple scheme and master class

For work we need about 5 grams of brown and 2-3 grams of yellow beads No. 8, 130 cm of wire. We select the thickness in such a way that the wire in 2 additions freely passes through the beads.

Put 2 brown beads in the middle of the wire. On one end of the wire we put 3 brown beads, with the other end we pass through the beads towards the first and tighten. It turned out the second row. Pick up 3 yellow beads and pass through them with the other end of the wire. We arrange the rows with an "accordion", all the odd rows are the dragon's belly, and the even ones are the back. Weave rows 4 and 5 according to the pattern.

In the 6th row, we will make horns for the dragon. To do this, put on 1 end of the wire 2 brown beads, then another one, placing it at a distance of 0.5-1 cm. Grasping the bead, twist the wire, as in the photo below; let's pick up one more brown bead. On the second side, in the same way, we collect beads and make a horn, and we pass the wire through the beads, which we collected at the first end of the wire. With the first end of the wire, we also go through the beads dialed on the second end. It will turn out to be a usual row, only in 2 places our horns will stick out.At this stage, you can twist them a little more, now it is much more convenient to do this. Next, we continue weaving according to the pattern, alternating the rows of the abdomen and back.

Let's make the front legs of our dragon. To do this, after row 18 of our pattern, we put 8 beads on one end of the wire, go through 5 beads in the opposite direction, leaving 3 beads free. Let's move the selected beads closer to the calf and tighten. So the foot is ready. On the second side, we will make one more. And then the usual row of abdomen: we collect 5 yellow beads on one end of the wire, coming from one leg, and with the other end of the wire we pass towards through the collected beads. We tighten carefully. The little animal can already run away, hold on tight

In the next row we will make wings. They are performed in the center of the back row, just like the horns. So I will not write about the design of this row of the backrest. We make the winglet itself with yellow beads according to the scheme. We collect 10 beads, pass the wire in the opposite direction through the 9 beads. It turns out such a sharp "tooth" on the winglet. Let's pick up 4 more beads and pass the wire through the 3rd one. Let's make the third "clove" on the winglet in the same way.

After the 3rd clove, select 6 more beads, and then go through the very first bead of the wing. Let's make the second wing in the same way. I came across a not very flexible wire and it broke off so inopportunely. I had to hide the tips in the winglet. If you look closely, you can see the extra passages. I hope you will be more lucky and you will not have to bother with sealing extra ends, and the dragon will turn out to be neat and beautiful. The photo below shows how a row of backs with braided wings is made.

Well, here's the new fabulous dragon made of beads is ready! What kind of dragon will you make?

The dragon is a symbol of 2012. In this master class I will show you how to make a dragon from beads with your own hands. For work we need: beads, wire, fishing line, beading needle and good mood.

Below are all the basic patterns needed to weave a dragon from beads. I took this scheme as a basis, modernizing it as we weave it. If you weave on a wire, then you probably faced the problem of terminating the ends. In my scheme, I tried to reduce as much as possible the number of extra wire "tails" that need to be hidden somewhere. I hope this will not confuse you too much.

Put 6 blue beads on one end of the wire and place them in the middle. Let's pass the second end of the wire towards the first one through 3 beads, as in the photo below. We continue weaving according to the pattern. The odd rows will become the dragon's belly, and the even ones will become the back. For the eyelet, you can take black or dark beads, you can use larger beads. I made my little dragon such blue shiny eyes, because with black ones, I turned out to be very angry.

We will make ears according to the scheme. We work with one end of the wire. Let's pick 2 blue beads, 1 darker bead (I have a transparent blue bead), again 3 blue beads, 5 darker beads. Having passed the last set of beads, we pass the wire in the opposite direction through 4 beads. It turns out the ear. Let's pick up one more dark bead and 2 blue beads.

Now we pass the second end of the wire through 2 blue beads, 1 transparent, 3 blue and make a second eyelet: pick up 5 transparent beads and pass the wire in the opposite direction through 4 beads, just like with the first eye. Then we pass the end of the wire through the remaining 1 transparent and 2 blue beads of the row. Here is such a difficult series.

Next, we continue weaving according to the pattern, rounding the rows so as to give the dragon's neck and body a rounded shape. To give rigidity to our future toy from beads, you can fill the little body with padding polyester. I did it without any hesitation, because I know for sure that if suddenly my dragon falls into the hands of my youngest daughter, then without dense packing it will definitely turn into a shapeless lump. And it is VERY difficult to restore the lost shape.

Next, weave the second side until we weave all the rows. A third of the work has already been done. Let's start with the front legs. On a piece of wire we string 1 white bead (claw) and 1 blue one, pass the second end of the wire through the blue bead in the same direction as the first one, as in the photo below.

Pick up one more blue bead, 1 white one and pass the wire back through the blue bead. So let's make another toe with a claw. Then we collect 1 white and 2 blue beads, pass the other end of the wire only through the blue beads. Before tightening the row, twist the wire around the remaining loose white bead. Next, we will perform the required number of rows according to the scheme.

The legs are so long. Let's shorten and thicken them, collecting rows of beads with an accordion (photo below). Let's perform the second front leg in the same way. The hind legs are woven in the same way.

The dragon's wing is woven in the following sequence: first, the skeleton is made, and then the wing is formed. Let's start with the longest first bone. Weave 50 identical rows of 1 bead each. Let's put together the finished weaving "accordion", as in the photo below. Then we will weave the third "bone" from 31 rows, in the same way we will collect. Take one end of the wire from the first "bone" and one end from the third and weave a second "bone" of 37 rows on them. In general, each detail can be performed on a separate wire, but personally I like this option better. The fewer excess ends of the wire are eventually hidden, the neater our beaded toy will look.

The photo below shows what should happen. We will also collect a long "bone". You can proceed to the fourth. On the right in the photo below you can see how you can proceed to continue weaving at the existing ends of the wire.

We collect beads and weave another "bone" from 25 rows of beads. The next bone we have consists of 17 rows of 2 beads. Right photo below.

Let's put it together with an "accordion".
Next, we work with one end of the wire. In order to avoid unnecessary "tails", we put 6 beads on one end (central photo below), we pass the wire through 3 and 4 dialed beads, as in the photo on the right.

Now let us pass the end of the wire through the beads 1 and 2 in the same direction as they were drawn on the wire. It will turn out as if 3 rows are woven (left photo below). We pass the second end of the wire through the penultimate row and now we will continue weaving according to the pattern already at 2 ends of the wire. 19 rows of 2 beads. The photo on the right shows what will happen in the end.

Let's connect all the "bones" together, hiding all the extra ends of the wire. Now you can start decorating the wing. In general, according to the scheme that I took as the basis for my dragon, the wings are also woven on a wire. But to be honest, I don't really like working with wire. At this stage, my wire began to break, bend ... in general, nothing worked for me. And since I really wanted to finish weaving the dragon, I found another option. Fishing line and needle. In the same way as in the version with wire, catching the wire between the rows of our "bones" on the fishing line, pick up the required number of beads according to the scheme and grabbing the wire of the next "bone", pick up the next row. It turns out faster and more convenient.

Beaded jewelry is quite common in needlework. And many people want to try to weave something original, such that others do not have. If you are one of such people, you will be interested in how to weave a beaded dragon. The lesson below provides materials for creating bead crafts quickly and easily with diagrams.

This unusual accessory will not leave anyone indifferent. If you decide to give such a dragon to a loved one, you can be sure that it will bring real joy to the owner. There are many options for weaving dragons from beads, we suggest you familiarize yourself with two of them. You can also watch a video with step-by-step weaving.

How to weave a voluminous dragon from beads with a wire pattern

This master class will be useful for beginners. After all, having familiarized yourself with parallel weaving, you can come up with many other figures based on the same principle of weaving, for example, a snake or a crocodile.

To weave such a dragon, you will need:

  • Green beads in two shades: light and dark.
  • Black and brown beads
  • 3 meters of wire with a thickness of 0.3-0.5 mm, the wire for beading Gamma works well. You can find it in any craft store.

The body of the dragon is woven using the parallel weaving technique. Such weaving will not work on a fishing line or thread, since only thanks to rigidity can you create volume and shape the product. The wings are woven flat. You need to weave the body from top to bottom according to the pattern. A filler for such a figure is not needed, the volume will be sufficient anyway.

To weave the body, you need to cut off a wire 120 cm long and start weaving from the muzzle. The figurine will come out three-dimensional due to the bending of the wire of odd and even rows. In the diagram, the rows are divided by a line in pairs. The odd rows are the upper part of the body, the even ones are the lower. You need to make sure that the wire bends up in the odd rows, and down in the even rows.

Remember that the legs and wings are straight. Therefore, it is necessary that the rows lay down exactly without bends. After completing the work, it will be impossible to align the skewed areas.

The diagram shows the places for attaching the dragon's wings and paws to the body. These elements are woven on additional wire. When you get to the place where the elements are attached, weave them, attach to the body and continue weaving.

In those places of the scheme where the rows are not divided in pairs, the weaving goes into one plane. For example, this is how the tail is woven.

We are trying to make a simple keychain "Dragon"

To make such a keychain will be within the power of those who have been familiar with beads for several days. Although weaving is not difficult, it still requires skill and accuracy. If you are relatively new to beading, then this lesson may seem difficult to you. We recommend that you first try to make Drakosha from the first master class.

Necessary materials:

  • large base bead;
  • beads of different sizes: Nos. 6, 8, 11, 15;
  • thin wire or fishing line.

One large bead is needed for the base around which we will weave the dragon. Two beads # 6 are needed for the eyes. You also need two colors of cylindrical beads, and two colors of beads # 11 and # 15. We will weave the dragon's body with beads # 8.

We fix the base bead with a cord and start braiding it with beads. I recommend that the fishing line be secured well so that the beads fit snugly. We pass the fishing line so that it goes around half of the bead. The first row is typed with beads # 15.

And now we begin to braid the bead using the mosaic weaving technique. Weave a row of gray beads of size 15, then 3 rows of a combination of 1 gray + 2 black beads, a row of black beads of size 11 and a row of 8. At the end of weaving, we hide the fishing line and cut it off. The result should look like in the photo.

In the next rows we will weave with decorative cylindrical beads, alternating with ordinary beads. There should be 9 or 10 such beads in the last row.

The body of our dragon is something like a tourniquet.

We will weave the head according to the pattern. The large red dots mark the placement of the eyes, the smaller red dots mark the last row of the neck.

After the head is braided, a comb needs to be made. First we braid 6-8 beads at the top of the head. In the photo they are marked in red.

On the basis of these fixed beads, weave a triangular element with a taper to make it look like a comb.

On this ridge we attach a ring, for which it will be possible to hang the dragon. To do this, you need to make a simple beaded chain, hang a ring on it. To secure it as tightly as possible, pass the fishing line through the beads several times.

Now we need to weave the last part of the dragon - its tail. The weaving technique is no different from the body weaving. Weave the tail in the same way as the body; towards the end of the tail we narrow it down to 7 beads. Before the tapering begins, you need to braid several rows of brick weaving.

First, weave three rows of size 15 black beads. After that, add golden beads and weave 2 more rows with a brick.

To make the tail look complete, decorate it with a comb. We weave in the same way as on the head. Let's start with 4 beads. The result should be a triple pointed comb.

The finished dragon should look something like the photo. During the weaving process, you can change something in our master class.

Weaving a dragon from a photo can be difficult. Therefore, we recommend that you watch a video with a detailed explanation of the process.

For work we need: beads, wire, fishing line, beading needle and good mood.

In general, each detail can be performed on a separate wire, but personally I like this option better. The fewer extra ends of the wire are eventually hidden, the neater our beaded toy.

The left photo below shows what should happen.

Let's connect all the "bones" together, hiding all the extra ends of the wire. Now you can start decorating the wing. It turns out faster and more convenient.

But the fishing line is soft and sagging of the rows cannot be avoided. Having walked a little with a needle and a fishing line between the rows of the wing, fix them together and you will get an even canvas without any sagging. Now, looking at my dragon, I'm already thinking that it would be easier to weave a wing in mosaics ...

So the wing is ready. We do the second and start assembling. We pass the ends of the wire of the paws through the beads of the calf in the rows indicated in the diagram, fix the wire and hide the ends. "Crocodile" is ready. It remains to fasten the wings.

One end of the wire can be hidden, and we will weave the other end. We collect the beads according to the scheme, hooking the wire alternately on the extreme "bone" of the wing and on the arc of the dragon's body. Well, that's all, our beaded dragon is ready to become an interior decoration of your home or your friends.
