We start by looking at a Japanese pattern and transferring it to paper. Put the paper on the fabric. We should get 2 identical cut details: one from the main material, the other from the lining. We put both parts right side out and stitch, holding both fabrics together. If you want a wallet smaller, take the length not 26, but 20 cm. The same height: the higher the height, the deeper the wallet.

We cut out the finishing details: hind legs - 2 parts, front legs - 2 parts, ears 2 + 2 children, head - 2 children, tail - 2 children, "bangs" - 1 children.

Take our dark fabric for finishing and cut off a 4.5 cm segment of such a length that it overlaps its “tail”. It is recommended to cut this strip obliquely. We attach the front side to the front side, pin off with pins.

You need to sew, stepping back from the edge 1.5 cm.

Tuck up the lining, pin it with pins. Sew the lining to the fabric with a blind stitch.

Pin the zipper with pins and sew, stepping back from the edge 0.5 cm, as in the photo. We sew the zipper fabric.

Fold the front ears inward, stitch. We turn it out and stuff it with padding polyester.

Sew 2 parts of the head, after sewing on the "bangs". We leave the unstitched section for turning out. Do not forget to insert the ears. Turn it out on the front and stuff the head with a padding polyester.

Sew the head and paws to the main part. We design the muzzle. We also lightly stuff the hind paw with padding polyester and sew it to the main part.

Decide from the very beginning what size you need a wallet. For example, in our master class, the wallet has a size of 20/9 cm.Take a piece of leather and draw two rectangles on it with a pencil and a ruler: one - 20/14 cm and the second - 20/4 cm.Another small piece (8 / 4 cm) of the skin is needed for the brush.

Cut out 2 rectangles.

We take glue and apply it to the edge of the first part. We attach the zipper and press it down to fix it. We do the same with the edge of the second part.

Gently glue the zipper.

We sew on a typewriter or on our hands a zipper to the details.

To decorate, we will make a small brush: cut the fringe with scissors, stepping back 1 cm from the edge.

We take glue and apply it to the upper cut of the brush.

We pass a strip of leather into the hole of the zipper, apply a fringe and roll it up, as in the photo.

We sew the entire perimeter of the product on a typewriter or on our hands - this way we additionally fix all the edges.

Trim the jagged edges to make the product look neat. The leather wallet is ready. You can attach a brooch to the product, or you can glue an applique in the shape of a cat.

The old jacket needs to be cleaned and prepared, they have fading visible to the eye. Often the application of any liquid and natural oil tampon solves this problem. If the dried copy suits, then take it to work. There should be no problems at all with the acquired piece.

We proceed from the fact that every amateur has to work with his hands in the house. If not, you can buy it at your local hardware store or at craft and art stores. You can make something yourself. Go:

Roller knife. Its price is less than 200 rubles. You can do with a shoe, but the disc does not crush the workpiece and cuts faster.
A sharp knife, best of all a clerical knife.
Fine ruler and writing pen.
Cardboard from any box of groceries.
Awl or thin punch.
Rolling pin.
Beeswax or candle.
Manicure scissors.
Tortsbil is desirable, it removes the chamfer from the edges.
Thimble or needle-nose pliers for stuck needles.

Prepared vise with protective pads (you can stick it yourself). If they are not there, then wood scraps with a screw will come in handy.

Patterns wallets made of leather

We gut any thin box or use cardboard, in extreme cases - a regular sheet. The base for the future front side will be 17X11 centimeters.
For two pockets for banknotes 7.6X11. For two slanting pockets 7.6X9X7 (one is possible). There will be three templates applied with a pen and cut with scissors.

We draw a pen around the templates on the back of the workpiece. There should be four or five stencils in total.
We take a thin ruler as a cutting guide; it can be replaced with any metal product with a straight side. Using a roller knife, cut out template pieces using stencils.
Then a coin of 10 kopecks or a ruble and on the largest piece with a handle we apply rounding of the ends. There will be two such roundings on the money pockets - where they will be superimposed on the main part along the outer edge. There is one on the pockets for business cards.

Important! Take your time with small workpieces, you will always have time to cut off the rounding of the edge. Only when you are convinced in the place that it is definitely necessary to cut here, then do it. At the same time, do not confuse external and inner side, it happens often.

It won't take much time, but you need to be careful:

It is advisable to remove a chamfer from the beveled edge of small pockets. This is done with a cross-cutter, if it is not there, then you can try with a small file. It's not even worth trying with a blade, ruin it. You can leave it as it is.

We mark the future holes with an indent of 5 millimeters. As a starting point, you can define one of the angles - along the bisector. The distance from the edge is at the discretion of the master, conventionally - also 5 mm.
We punch the marked holes with an awl or a lowercase punch. We put any board down.
If there is any decorative metal thing at home (badge, military symbol, emblem), then it's time to think about an aesthetic decoration. Just think about how you will fix it. The easiest way to use military symbols, they have special antennae. Such things can be found in the nearest hotel with sewing accessories. It is worth a penny, but it will look like a million!

Attention! In the place of folding, the wallet does not need holes.

Stitching

In order to do this conveniently, fixation of the product is necessary. Rubber or wooden pieces can be glued to the jaws of a metal vise, they can then be easily removed. If there is no vice, then take two planks or bars 30-35 centimeters long. Fasten one end with twine, cutting off the edges of the tree. Insert a suitable eye screw or bolt with washer into the drilled hole in the middle. The mount is ready!

First we fold the two inner pieces (when you turn them over, then the remaining ones) and fix them. We sew with a saddle stitch with two needles and threads, acting in a mirror-like manner. More information about this method can be found on the net. Such a seam is the strongest, but if you do not want to know the details, then act with one needle. Only then will you have to walk again, in a checkerboard pattern - closing the open gaps without a thread. We hide the ends of the thread and knots inside.

We sew the resulting couplings to the cover according to the pattern already passed.

That's not all, it is still necessary to bring the product to mind. This is done by trimming the edges using a special technique.

Ennobling

No matter how hard we try, the edges of the details will always protrude - crawling onto others. They need to be aligned. We apply for this again the roller tool - putting everything on the board. We cut, very carefully overlaying the guides. Next we need:

Wax or any candle.
Vise or our manufactured fasteners.
Rolling pin.

Again we fix the wallet in our vice so that the edges look out. We rub the edges with beeswax, if it is absent, you can try with a candle, but the result will be worse. Take an ordinary kitchen rolling pin and rub the edges vigorously with its round ends until they are completely aligned.

Reference! For this, saddlers use special trowels with slots of different diameters, but the round end of such a trowel is identical to a rolling pin. Therefore, it can and should be used for an indirect purpose. Then it is cleaned with hot water. Act discreetly and carefully, otherwise you can get it in a soft place with this rolling pin.
