How to make fashionable jeans out of simple ones. How to make ripped jeans with your own hands

A A

Every second girl experiments with things from the wardrobe. Especially if things are already old, unfashionable and require either taking out to the trash heap or urgent improvement. The second option is definitely preferable.

Surely you have a stack of jeans lying around in the far corner of the dresser, which is a pity to throw away.

We will show you how to make them relevant and fashionable again!

What you need: your old jeans, a ripper (razor or knife), soap, and a small metal grater with garlic holes.

  • Choosing a place for future “scuffs” on jeans.
  • Carefully use this area “horizontally” with three floats. We act as carefully as possible if desired result- this is exactly a scuff, not a gaping hole. The grater should only remove the top layer of thread.

For the "leaky" effect:

  • We lay out the jeans on the table and mark strips for future holes with a remnant (maybe small).
  • We carry out cuts "horizontally" using a ripper or scissors.
  • We pull out several threads along the edges of the holes to make the jeans "worn" feel (approx. - or we wash them in a machine so that the threads stretch themselves) - we create shaggy of our chaotic holes.
  • We make cuts based on our wishes - in several sections or along the entire length of the leg (pant leg).
  • If desired, you can arrange the resulting holes in one of the following ways (lace, sequins, etc.).

So that the created "gaps" do not creep away completely and spoil the presentation, you should sew a piece of guipure to them from the inside out.

Bright colored jeans-space - we dye according to the instructions

For this masterpiece you need: dark jeans, Toothbrush, acrylic paint for fabrics of the desired colors, sponge, spray, bleach solution with water (2: 1), container for mixing paints.

  • Spread the jeans over the plastic on the floor.
  • Spray the bleach solution poured into a spray bottle in different areas - not abundantly, but slightly and gently. We are waiting for the appearance of orange spots. For their intensity, you can splash one more time.
  • Next, mix the first portion of acrylic paints and gently apply it with a sponge around our orange spots. Experimenting with colors! That is, we rinse the sponge from time to time and take a different color.
  • Separate areas are highlighted with white paint.
  • We paint the stars in our denim "galaxies" with a brush and diluted white paint. Everything is simple here: we dip the tooth / brush into the paint, and then, using our finger, “spray” (spray) the paint into separate areas - we create clusters of stars.
  • Don't forget the back of the jeans and the seams - they need space too. Wait until it dries completely (at least a day).

Stylish "dumplings" - if jeans have become "boring"

You will need: old jeans, whiteness, a container (a bucket or a large saucepan, for which later mom will not tear off her hands).

  • Choosing dark jeans that are in dire need of a fashion reboot.
  • We twist our jeans tightly. Moreover, the more you twist, the less streaks will be. If you want a vertical pattern, then secure the sections of the twists with elastic bands. Clips are needed for horizontal streaks, and clothespins for "stars" in the twist areas.
  • We collect water in a container - exactly half, heat to 80 degrees (on average) and abruptly pour a full glass of whiteness into it.
  • Bring our solution to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • After boiling the "potion" we immerse the jeans completely in it. Get out? Stuff back with a ladle.
  • We wait 15 minutes, constantly stuffing jeans under the water. If the color does not want to change at all, add another half glass of the product.
  • We take it out after getting the desired shade, carry it to the bath, remove all clips / elastic bands and rinse the new jeans thoroughly.

If you are too lazy to cook jeans, mom does not give a pan or there is simply no container you need, but there is Domestos - use it. We dilute half a glass of the product in 3 liters of water, soak the twisted jeans in the same way and wait for lightening. Next, rinse and dry.

And - another way, more gentle

Alas, the pattern obtained as a result of the above method is not always pleasing. If you don't want to get upset, you can use by the following method:

  • Sponge the desired areas on the jeans with a sponge soaked (thickly) in bleach.
  • Forget about jeans for 5 minutes (no more!).
  • If you want a gradient, you can spray more intense places with a spray bottle.
  • Then we rinse the jeans and dry them.

Decorating jeans with lace - stylish and glamorous

Today it is the most fashionable option finishes.

You will need: old jeans with very large holes (for example, jeans, on which you were too smart with holes) and lace. You can also use ordinary jeans if the decor is outdoor.

What options are there?

  • Lace, sewn on as a lining on the hole from the inside out. The denim edges around the lace patch certainly need to be tousled. White lace sticking out in the cuts of blue jeans looks very spicy.
  • Lace tape sewn around the waist or just in the front (only in the back).
  • Back pockets fully decorated with lace.
  • Flowers cut out of lace (a different pattern), sewn onto the legs as appliqués.

Just don't overdo it. The abundance of lace or its illiterate use can turn your jeans into a vulgar thing.

What you need: rhinestones, beads, beads, your jeans.

  • We select the desired area on the jeans, look for the desired pattern and transfer it to the jeans with a chalk / pencil (pockets, sides of the legs, cuffs).
  • We select rhinestones of different sizes and glue them according to the pattern by hand.

Sequins, beads or beads will have to be sewn on. The work is more painstaking, but the result is worth it.

If you do not know how to draw, take drawings as a basis (among them there are many interesting sketches of flowers, birds, etc.).

And jeans have cuffs!

Today, wide cuffs on jeans are considered the most fashionable. Although no one will stop you from making them according to your personal size and desire - you are a designer.

Having chosen the desired width, sew the jeans or simply wrap them straight outward, baste at the seams and do the decor of the received cuffs:

  • Decorate with rhinestones or beads.
  • Sew on lace.
  • We use bright strips of fabric.
  • We make a fringe.

Stamps are not always bad

If the bear stepped not only on your ear, but also on your hands, and you can draw only with chalk on the asphalt, it doesn't matter. Will come to the rescue stamps and stencils.

  • We take an ordinary children's rubber stamp for creativity with the desired pattern, dip it in paint for the fabric of the desired color and stamp it for health as the soul requires.
  • If there are no children's stamps, you can make it yourself from potatoes, an eraser, etc.
  • You can also stamp with a sponge. Just take the paint thicker and first test the stamping on an unnecessary rag so that the excess paint leaves the sponge - the drawing should turn out to be a small snowball, and not blots.

Stencils are a good idea too.

  • We draw a pattern on cardboard, cut it out, attach it to masking tape on jeans.
  • We apply the drawing with a brush or sponge.
  • We are waiting for drying and remove the stencil.

Drawing on jeans - an option for artists

Option 1:

  • We take paints on the fabric and brush.
  • We apply the pattern with chalk, paint, wait for drying.
  • You can use fabric markers (they are even more convenient to draw with).

Option 2:

  • We insert a cardboard into the leg to protect the other side.
  • We put lace over the desired section of the leg and attach it tightly with pins.
  • Using a sponge, a toothbrush, or point-by-hand, paint the pattern through the lace and wait for it to dry.

Option 3:

  • Cut out the desired pattern from the lace and moisten it in bleach until it is lightly damp (so that the lace does not crumble).
  • We put the lace on the leg and press it tightly for 10-30 minutes. Accordingly, the longer, the brighter the pattern.
  • Next, remove the lace and dip the jeans for a while in a solution of water and vinegar (approx. - 3: 1). After - we wash it separately in a typewriter or by hand.

Jeans turn into elegant capri pants

Everything is simple here. If you are tired of flares, or the bottoms of the legs have become completely unusable, then it's time to cut your jeans under capri pants (or shorts).

  • We choose the desired length with a margin for cuffs.
  • Cut off along the strips marked with soap.
  • We bend the legs outward and decorate in one of the above ways (fabric, lace, beads, etc.).

Patch applications - at the height of fashion!

If you are young, daring and with golden hands, you can use appliques. They transform old jeans so much that then familiar people ask - where to buy this beauty?

There are many options - choose according to your taste or look for something of your own unique:

  • Bright rectangles of multi-colored and multi-textured fabrics, randomly sewn onto the front of the legs.
  • Appliques with colored laces.
  • Graffiti style applications.
  • Point applications in the form of hearts, letters, patches, etc.
  • Use of color thin skin or denim of different shades.

You can sew on appliques too different ways- from a regular stitch to a zigzag or even a “satin stitch” contour.

Embroidery on jeans - painstaking and long, but beautiful and durable

If in the talent of handicraft you can overtake even your grandmothers, and you have a full box of floss, feel free to look for the desired pattern.

  • We apply a pattern to the desired area.
  • We embroider. Better - satin stitch, it looks more spectacular. Although, you can use the cutwork technique, but in this case it is not recommended to experiment with colors - take 1 thread color slightly lighter than jeans fabric.

If you wish, you can make voluminous flowers on jeans from threads:

  • We make loops around 2 fingers, remove the hacks and tie it in the middle with a contrasting thread.
  • Cut off the ends, fluff up our "dandelion", sew to jeans.
  • We embroider a stem with leaves from below.

Jeans rivets - timeless fashion

First, come up with a pattern or think over the geometry along which you will "screw" the rivets. If in the process of decorating you realize what you did “wrong” and “wrong”, it will be extremely difficult to fix it.

  • We buy rivets in the store (those with "petals" from the inside out).
  • We pierce the fabric with a rivet and bend the petals. If the jeans are too thick, make mini-holes in advance.
  • The rivets will look most beneficial on side seams, pockets, belt or cuffs.

Ways to inhale new life in their old jeans - a carriage and one small cart. Based on the above, you can come up with your own techniques and create a real masterpiece.

Remember: "hand-made" is appreciated at all times! You can even organize your own.

How to make ripped jeans who again took off on the fashionable Olympus, every person who follows fashion at least a little wants to know. For a sophisticated cut, full of designer scuffs and holes, you don't have to go to a boutique. To create a fashionable handmade thing with holes from boring, old jeans, improvised materials will be used. Today we are learning to understand the science of artificial aging of jeans.

Correct workpiece cut

Before proceeding directly to the process, we will frighten the wardrobe in search of exactly that thing, ideal for experiments.

  • Cross the regular fit jeans off your list. Such wardrobe items will look old-fashioned, and the holes in the fabric will seem like a consequence of a bad fall.
  • Stretch pants will also be unsuccessful. On stretching material, beautiful cuts will not physically come out, and the holes will resemble arrows on nylon tights.
  • The very dense fabric will make the process of turning the pants into fashionable thing quite time consuming.

  • Prints, embroidery and designs, as well as bright models look interesting, but additional elements overload the overall composition.
  • Ideal candidates for transformation are tight or wide pants, like boyfriends. These trousers for young people perfectly endure all the “bullying” of oneself, without turning into the clothes of a homeless vagabond.

Most people try to make incisions in the knees, but you can rip the fabric anywhere.

  • If you cut a little above the knee, then the hole will not get wider and larger with each bend of the knee.
  • Notches that are too high expose the laundry. Men should be especially careful about this.

  • If after the decoration you wash your pants with rhinestone, then loosen the threads even more, so the pants will look even frayed.
  • Cuts that are close to the seams can cause them to come apart.
  • Pulling out single fibers with extreme precision can be done with a sewing needle.
  • Putting a piece of brick in your leg instead of cardboard will speed up the process of erasing the fabric.

Warnings before you start

  • Try not to cut too hard in the leg. Each new wash increases the scuff and tear size.
  • Be as careful as possible with sharp objects.
  • Never carry out the procedure with pants on your feet.

Creating a scuff on the fabric of the trousers

To make fashionable scuffs on jeans yourself, you need to have the following tools on hand:

  • pants directly;
  • sandpaper and a block;
  • a piece of pumice;
  • grater;
  • small hard board.

Step by step fashionable decor is performed according to the following scheme:

  1. Mark the selected area for decoration, and mark it with chalk or remnant.
  2. Take a plank, put it inside the leg under the place where it will be worn in the future.
  3. We pass to the main stage - the intended place is rubbed with the help of the selected device. Do not rub with force, because in the place of the supposed fashionable dilapidation, an unnecessary hole may turn out.
  4. A pumice stone and a float will help in getting a wipe with fluffy fringes along the edges. This softens the image and at the same time gives a certain audacity. Emery or paper will create designer wear.
  5. At the decorating stage, decorate the worn with rhinestones, rivets or paper clips.

Leaky Noodle Jeans

As for the holes, their creation is more time consuming. The following devices will help you create ripped jeans with your own hands:

  • a piece of plywood;
  • stationery knife or blade;
  • eyebrow tweezers or any other;
  • scissors;
  • non-woven fabric.

You can make a masterpiece out of jeans for yourself according to the following scheme:

  1. Any denim pants are woven using colored longitudinal and white transverse fibers. Before the procedure, fix a piece of plywood inside the leg.
  2. Using a razor blade or pocketknife, make two cuts along the transverse fibers, 3-4 cm apart.
  3. Take scissors or tweezers, with their help, gently pick up and pull out the white strings around the edges. Use caution and patience.
  4. After that, with the same tweezers between the cuts, pull out all the blue threads that are located perpendicular to the lower ones. Initially, pull one thread at a time, at the end of the manipulation you can pull it out with a bundle.
  5. Fix the edges of the resulting hole from the inside with non-woven liner to avoid losing the shape of the product.
  6. It is interesting to make a model with numerous long cuts that are free from blue threads.

You can decorate the pants by fixing lace or bright patches of fabric from the wrong side, this will give impudence and draw attention to their owner.

Décor of ripped jeans in the "grunge" way

Torn jeans at home in this style will adorn both men's and women's pants.

To decorate trousers ourselves, we need:

  • small board or plywood;
  • scissors;
  • stationery knife;
  • a piece of pumice.

A step-by-step diagram of how to make jeans torn consists of the following steps:

  1. Fasten plywood or a board under the desired area inside the leg.
  2. Make 6-9 slits along the lateral grain, about half the length of the pant leg.
  3. Better to wield a clerical knife, because only with its help you will achieve the effect of maximum negligence. You can make cuts of different lengths.
  4. After that, rub the holes with your hands, pull out a few blue fibers from them.
  5. Finish the bottom of the legs. Cut off the edge, and rub the resulting edge with a piece of pumice stone until a careless, disheveled look.
  6. In the same way, process the cuts on the pockets and the belt to completely beat the thing, create integrity and completeness to the image.

Create the Distressed Jeans Look

Photo ripped jeans of this type are similar to "Grunge", but in this version, the transverse cuts are performed chaotically, and together with the blue threads, several white ones are pulled out for a greater shabby effect. This look is suitable for young girls, but it is better for respectable ladies not to choose it.

"Slit knees" on black jeggings

Many jeans fans in 2017 have a new thing in their wardrobe among the noodles and other frayed pants - black jeggings with slits at the knees. It is expensive to buy a trendy item in a store, but to create such fashion trousers do it yourself as easy as shelling pears at maximum cost.

The scheme of actions is as follows:

  1. Put on your trousers and mark with a remnant where you want to cut.
  2. Take off the thing, put cardboard or board in the trouser leg.
  3. Cut the fabric with sharp movements along the marked line stationery knife.
  4. Straighten the cut, pull out the extra strings with your fingers.

Secrets of Making Correct Knee Holes

Torn knees have not gone out of style for a decade now. There is a certain specificity in creating an image, because it is no secret to anyone that in such popular places the fabric spreads out instantly. We advise you to use a trick and follow a specific algorithm.

  1. Put on your pants. Place a small dot in the middle of your knee with chalk or soap.
  2. Mark out the future hole in the shape of an eye, the center of which will be the same point. Carefully cut along the outline.
  3. Process the edges using a special technique. File them with a file or sandpaper. Wet the edges and roll them up and down a little, securing them with pins. Let them dry.
  4. Use a float to scuff the rest of the knee.
  5. This shape will allow you to maintain the shape of the incision longer.

As you can see, it is easy and simple to create a beautiful designer item with your own hands. Handmade, made according to an individual project, will make your look fashionable and unique.

Video: How to age jeans correctly and beautifully

  1. Old jeans... Blue, black or light blue - it doesn't matter. The main thing is that they sit well on you. Classics and boyfriends are perfect, but you need to be careful with styles like skinny. If the leg fits tightly around the thigh, there is a risk that the tightened skin will fall out through the slots.
  2. Chalk, remnant or felt-tip pen... It will be needed to mark future holes.
  3. Sharp scissors or a utility knife... It is more convenient to make large cuts with tailor's scissors, and small ones - with manicure. So prepare both. You can also make holes with a clerical knife - as it is more convenient for anyone.
  4. Tweezers and knitting needles or darning needle... You will need tweezers to pull unnecessary threads out of the fabric, and a knitting needle or needle to trim the edges.
  5. Pumice stone, sandpaper and bleach... You can use them to give your jeans a more worn look.
  6. Wooden cutting board or thick cardboard ... With them it will be more convenient to cut and rub holes, because you can not be afraid to damage the lower part of the leg.

Customizing requires creativity, patience and time. The first time reworking jeans can take you hours, but the results are worth it.

Step 2. Make the markup

Chaotic perforating can lead to the thing ending up in the trash can. For example, don't make holes too close to your waist. These slots are only acceptable if the pockets that peep out are part of the design.

Before grabbing the scissors, put on your jeans and sketch where the holes and scuffs will be.

Step 3. Make holes

To get a long transverse hole in the knee, make one cut with a clerical knife, first placing a board under the fabric.

If the marked holes are more voluminous, you will have to not only cut, but also pull out the threads. Denim is similar to mesh: white horizontal threads interspersed with blue vertical ones. Your task is to get rid of the latter and not damage the former.

Using scissors or a utility knife, make several horizontal cuts in each marked area so that the distance between them is 1–2 cm.

The process may be slow at first, but after a while the blue threads will become more pliable and as a result you will only have white ones.

To age the holes, loosen the edges slightly with a knitting needle, or simply rub them with a pumice stone.

Step 4. Age the jeans even more and decorate them

Wash and dry your jeans as usual. If the model is not shabby enough and you want more vintage, treat the desired areas with a cotton pad dipped in liquid bleach.

Then tuck a piece of wood or cardboard into your leg and rub the fabric with sandpaper. The thinner the jeans, the finer the grain should be.

You can also decorate jeans. For example, you can sew lace on one of the holes, attach appliqués to free places, or glue the edges of the holes with rhinestones.

Ripped jeans are again at the peak of popularity, they make the image extravagant, stylish and erotic. Young people are buying them at exorbitant prices, not suspecting that a masterpiece can be created on their own without spending a tidy sum. However, as in any other business, here you need to have certain skills and clearly follow the instructions. Let's consider the important aspects in order.

Selection of the original product

  1. Material. Opt for trousers from classic mid-weight jeans to make your fashion creation much easier. You should not choose stretch pants for processing, they do not lend themselves well to processing due to the fact that there will be no fringe around the holes. Very often, when creating ripped stretch jeans, arrows appear later, which nullifies all efforts and spoils the design idea.
  2. Fit. An important aspect of creating ripped jeans is right choice the original cut of the product. Choose a product based on the type of figure: trousers should be moderately tight or one size larger. Too much skinny jeans gaps will stretch and look messy. If you choose wide-leg pants, the holes will hide behind the folds and will not be visible.
  3. Style. It doesn't matter if you choose skinny or boyfriend pants as your starting option, the design will look equally good on all types of garment. As for the fit and color, they also do not play a special role. To make it easier for yourself, it is advisable to choose a product without artificial fibers with a high cotton content.
  4. Cut options. The holes must be made based on the size of the legs. If you have large hips, it is worth choosing classic pants where the cuts are vertical. In order not to visually reduce the lower body, you should not make gaps too close to each other. It is their chaotic and rare arrangement that stretches the legs and makes them slim.

If you have relatively thin and long legs, you can afford to make incisions in the knee and upper thigh area. Short ladies should give preference to "skinny" trousers with holes located randomly over the entire surface. Everyone, without exception, can choose bright acid jeans that will make you stand out from the crowd.

The technology assumes the presence of slots parallel to each other and located horizontally. You choose the number of cuts yourself, but the holes should not take more than half the width of the leg. To create a casual look, make holes of different lengths.

Required tools:

  • dense board approximately 0.5 * 1 m in size;
  • stationery knife;
  • a piece of plywood;
  • scissors;
  • needle middle length and thickness;
  • sandpaper;
  • pencil / chalk / soap.

Training
Try on jeans to figure out exactly where the slots will be located and what size they should be. Draw with chalk the lines of the holes that suit you. Throughout the creation of a masterpiece, it is necessary to measure trousers in order to notice possible deviations from a given course in time. If the shape allows you to create cuts in the knee area, they should be done above or below the cup. Otherwise, when you sit down, the slots will part along the cut line.

Technology

  1. Lay your jeans down on the floor so they don't wrinkle. Insert a small piece of plywood into one leg to be processed. This move will avoid cuts on the back of the product.
  2. Now take a wide board that will fit the entire pant leg. Spread the jeans over and fold them over so that the free edges of the garment are pinched between the two boards.
  3. Trace previously drawn lines with chalk to pinpoint the beginning and end of future holes. The number of slots for processing jeans should be within 5-8. In this case, do not create holes too close to each other, observe the interval of 4-6 cm. It is not necessary to make the cuts at the same distance.
  4. After you have decided on the length and location of the lines, you can safely start cutting. If you need to do smooth edges, cut through the jeans with scissors, after making a small hole with a blade.
  5. In cases where the goal is to create ragged slots, make them with a clerical knife, it does not cut so accurately. After that, pull out a few threads with a needle. dark color for more naturalness. You do not need to stretch a lot, after washing they will come out and take the desired shape.
  6. Now select places on the surface of the trousers where you can make small slits 3-4 cm long. Draw them with chalk, then cut with a clerical knife. Insofar as denim consists of intertwined threads different colors(light and dark), you only need to draw out the dark threads, located vertically. First, pull them out with a needle, and then finally pull them out with forceps. Small holes of this type can also be made in the back pockets.
  7. After you've created the slots, take a pumice stone. Rub the pockets, waistband, and hem at the bottom of the trousers. Optionally, you can decorate the hole area with rhinestones or sequins. To make your jeans look worn, dampen a cloth with lukewarm water and rub the area with sandpaper.

  1. Torn jeans require careful foot care, you need to do the depilation / epilation procedure on time and moisturize the skin with cream.
  2. If the choice fell on wide-leg trousers, the slits located at a great distance from each other look beautiful on them. In this case, it is recommended to pumice not only the bottom edge and pockets, but also individual places on the surface of the trousers.
  3. Brave and eccentric ladies who have legs from the ears should look at the option with a lot of cuts. Cut from the top of the thigh to the beginning of the knee, 4 cm apart.
  4. If you are looking to make your jeans look more stylish, use bleach. Sprinkle them with a chlorine-based solution to make a few large and many small drops, let it sit for 10 minutes and machine wash.
  5. It is worth remembering that if the cuts are made in a narrow place, after a certain period of time they will stretch. In cases where the holes are located in wide places, they will narrow over time.
  6. If you are making holes a short distance apart, try not to overdo it. Otherwise, there is a risk of a single hole forming.
  7. For girls who do not want to expose their legs for everyone to see, you can hem openwork or mesh fabric under the slots. It is only important to carefully attach it from the wrong side. If you do not have this skill, place the fabric on duct tape from the inside.
  8. You can decorate ripped jeans with beads, sequins, rhinestones, lace. It is preferable to decorate the pockets, the belt and the area around the holes. As for the slots themselves, try stitching them with floss threads, making a thin stitch along the border.
  9. Start cutting at the bottom of the jeans. This move will allow you to turn pants into capri pants or shorts if something goes wrong.

What to wear with ripped jeans

  1. To accentuate your figure and add sophistication to your look, wear a blouse made of red silk or Green colour... Pick up patent leather shoes with a pointed nose on a stiletto and a handbag to match.
  2. V Everyday life you can wear pastel ballerinas and a top in the same shade. It is important that the shirt does not expose the belly too much, otherwise the image will turn out to be vulgar.
  3. Ripped jeans look nice with sneakers white from famous brands("Adidas", "Nike"). In this case, it is enough to complement them with a white T-shirt and a cardigan of any color without fasteners.
  4. In hot weather, get any colored T-shirt, make several horizontal cuts on the back. Slip the sandals over your toes and voila, your summer look is ready.

Ripped jeans are not difficult to make when you consider all the nuances. Do not neglect intermediate fittings in order to exclude the possibility of damage to the product. Choose a thick fabric made up of two layers of different shades. Decorate trousers with rhinestones or beads, choose the appropriate look for yourself.

Video: how to make fashionable ripped shorts

Ripped jeans continue their victorious march around the world, conquering everyone on their way: women and men, business women and DIY lovers, show business stars and schoolgirls ...

Everything "breaks": flared jeans, tight-fitting jeans, old-school banana jeans, boyfriends - fashion trend knows no limits!

Today, frayed-ripped jeans are presented in the clothing lines of the most famous and most popular brands, and on the Internet they even offer to tear jeans to order (for example, I found a whole group of ripped jeans fans on social networks), but we suggest you arrange your own fashionable reprisal jeans!

How to tear jeans to make them beautiful and not to come apart? What holes on jeans visually spoil the figure? How to fade jeans? If jeans are torn or rubbed when worn, how to reanimate them in style? What else can you upgrade your ripped jeans with? We have collected the most interesting ideas and, of course, many, many photos.

How to rip jeans at home

It so happens that the desire to tear and toss (creatively, it's over!) In you is caused by specific jeans: too bland, the model is outdated, or the jeans were torn without your consent and now they need to be saved. But if you have not decided which jeans to remake, or maybe you are just going to find the perfect pair in the nearest second-hand (by the way, I advise you to take the "first pancake" from this storehouse of clothes for DIY alterations), take on a few simple tips:

  • it is better to take jeans that are not too loose and not too tight-fitting;
  • the most aesthetically pleasing (contrast of threads) tears classic blue or blue denim;
  • Elastic jeggings, which are now popular, are unlikely to break beautifully if they have an elastane base (just look at the wrong side).

How to cut jeans: photo, instruction

In addition to the jeans themselves, we will need simple tools: a clerical knife, a bottle or a plank (put it inside so as not to accidentally cut through the entire leg), nail scissors, a needle or a pin. If you want to give your cuts a slight scuff and disheveledness (how to rub jeans nicely, we will describe in detail below), a pumice stone, a nail file, a stiff brush or a piece of sandpaper will also come in handy.

Measure seven times ... Estimate by eye, or rather mark the boundaries of future cuts with a small piece of soap or a piece of soap. In order not to miss, put jeans on yourself - this way you will be sure that the holes will be in the right places.

Remember that holes in jeans will attract the eyes of others. If you are the owner of appetizing shapes, you should not make incisions in "soft places", limit yourself to neat incisions just above and below the knee. Elongated narrow holes along the central axis of the legs visually lengthen and slim the knives. Wide ripped holes just below the pockets will visually enlarge the hips.

... cut once. How to cut jeans so that you don't regret it later? If you cut it in a hurry, as a result, you risk getting untidy and even vulgar-looking jeans. So please take time and patience. It is better to start with a small incision, enlarging it as necessary.

If this is your first time ripping your jeans, it is a good idea to master the splitting technique on a piece of old jeans.

So how do you rip your jeans?

1. After we have marked where we will make holes, we spread the jeans on a flat surface. We put a plate under the incision site or push a bottle into the leg (so as not to cut through the back) and with a clerical knife (you can use a blade, but be careful) we make a neat incision. We cut strictly horizontally (take a closer look at the structure of the denim and guide the knife along the transverse threads). An angled cut will damage the light-colored threads, which should eventually cover our hole.

2. If you need a small hole, a crack, with tweezers carefully so as not to break, release the light threads (this is where a needle comes in handy), ruffle the blue ones with an old toothbrush, if too long, cut them off.

3. If you want to make a bigger hole on your jeans, make a horizontal cut of the required length and parallel to it (higher or lower by a couple of centimeters) one more. We put our fingers under the resulting loop and pull out the blue threads with tweezers. This way you can make holes on jeans. different sizes gradually increasing it, but do not overdo it.

Try on jeans regularly to make sure everything is going according to plan. You can add frayed and grunge using a brush (walk along the contour of the cut) and bleach (apply along the contour and leave for half an hour), if everything suits you - we send the jeans to the washer, it will give your ripped jeans complete view.

If you decide to make a curly hole on your jeans, do not forget to secure the edges with non-woven fabric (from the inside out) or sew along the contour, otherwise the figure will creep out at the very first wash.

How to rip your knees on jeans

Jeans noodles (jeans with many parallel cuts) I personally have already become boring (excuse me, fans of "noodles"!), But jeans with straight cuts on the knees are now at the peak of popularity.

If you want a large hole in the knees with white cross-threading, use the method described above.

For example, I am not ready to focus on my knees (and in the case of jeans that are very torn at the knees, it will be that way), so I liked the even holes-slits more.

To make them as easy as shelling pears: put on jeans, draw with soap on your knees in a straight line, take off your jeans and make a cut.

Here you can no longer follow the smoothness of the knife movements and, on the contrary, cut with jerks. Personally, I especially like black jeans with ripped knees, don't you?

By the way, for days I met a guy on the street who had holes in his jeans ... on the inside of his knees! Unfortunately, I didn't have time to take a picture ...;)

How to make faded jeans

Jeans are probably the only thing in a modern girl's wardrobe, which is deliberately given a "killed" look. Faded jeans and slight fraying will be a great addition to the holes we made earlier. By the way, the idea of artificial aging of jeans is not new, even our parents in the 80s experimented with their jeans: they rubbed them with a grater, with sand and bricks, beat them with stones, washed them in salt water and in tea (for a rusty shade). I recommend using a pumice stone or sandpaper.

How to scuff your jeans yourself

Yes, pumice and sandpaper! And according to the price tags for shredded jeans in stores, you can't say that everything is that simple, right?

So, we act according to the already familiar scheme: we mark the zones where the scuffs will be done, only we take not a knife, but a pumice stone, and begin to rub. If you want to make small scuffs, you can even use a coarse nail file.

To further lighten frayed areas on jeans, use bleach (moisten the desired areas and leave for 20 minutes).

If you want full grunge - and holes, and scuffs, then first it is better to rub the jeans, and then rip.

Do not overdo it: if the fabric under the pumice stone becomes too thin and torn, beautiful hole will not work anymore, you will have to do a patch ... We will talk about how to creatively patch jeans below.

Rubbed jeans: saving beautifully

If the jeans are rubbed when worn (along the crotch seam, on inside hips, for example, my jeans always rub on the folds under the knee), you can try to return them to the wardrobe!

There are several options for how to reanimate worn jeans: make a patch, an appliqué, a thick stitching, or, if the place is right, make the wear stylish, a la "it was intended."

It is better to work with slightly damp jeans: textile dust will spread much less.

How to redo jeans

Ripping jeans, making scuffs are the most simple options upgrade of boring jeans. I am sure, as soon as you see how your jeans will transform from these simple alterations, the handles will be combed to add something else.

Beware, as a result of using the following ideas, you can get a real designer thing! ;)

How to remake old jeans

If you are still ready to serve you, but you are already bored with your jeans - alteration is inevitable!

I propose to beat different variations patches and lining: denim in a contrasting color, rough cotton with an interesting print, leather, lace.

All tricks are ideal for altering jeans with defects: you can "hide" both a speck and a hole!

I would especially like to note the "hole + colorful patch + elements of simple embroidery" technique. So, by the way, you can save perforated jeans! This alteration of old jeans will take you no more than half an hour.
