Since the "pile" of my tinsel was long, I stepped back from the edge by 3-5 cm.

Then she fastened a purchased plastic snowflake to the chest of the dress with threads.

Of course, the hair also needed to be decorated with something like a snowflake. The easiest option seemed to me with a rim, which I simply wrapped in the same tinsel. At the beginning of the winding and at the end, I fixed the ends with tape, in the center with a thread and a needle I fixed a voluminous plastic snowflake (one of its parts) - remember, I wrote that I bought a snowflake and split it into three parts. Tinsel perfectly hides all the imperfections of the fastening.

Next, an important point, it is necessary to think about how a three-year-old child will wear this jewelry on his head for an hour, while the matinee lasts, and at the same time jump, dance, participate in games. My daughter is unable to withstand the slipping headband and takes off for five minutes.

To create a skirt, we need: scissors, cardboard, white and blue tulle, a wide elastic band 5 - 6 cm, stars for decoration.

• For neatness and even layers of the skirt, it is necessary to make a blank of cardboard for the skirt. Base width - 35 cm, length - 40 cm.
• Wrap all the tulle from the roll onto the prepared cardboard. Cut off the beginning and end - the stripes for the skirt are ready! There should be about 50 of them.
• For the convenience of knitting strips, put an elastic band on the legs of a chair or on a thick book.
• Fold the strip in half and squeeze, then place on top of the elastic, spreading the ends apart. We lower the loop down and stretch the tulle with two fingers, tying a knot.
• Do not tighten the knots too much, try to keep them the same. Thus, we tie the entire skirt around, the more stripes you tie, the more magnificent the skirt will turn out.
• At the end of the work, wrap the product in knots in inner side and decorate with stars!
• Making pom-poms to decorate hairpins and shoes - to make one pom-pom, cut a piece of ribbon about 8 cm wide and tie it around the book 7-8 times. Then tie the rope neatly and tightly, cut the edges and fluff. The pompom is ready!

Make a crown for the dress, and your princess will turn into the queen of snowflakes! We need - a diadem, a mesh with sequins, white tulle of two densities, a beautiful large snowflake.

• In order to make a base that will hold the snowflake on the crown, you need to make a rigid tulle backing. To do this, measure the size of tulle, taking into account the size of the snowflake.
• Make a tight gather that can be sewn either by hand or with a typewriter. The tighter the base, the better.
• We put the assemblies one on top of the other, you can even 3 by 1. Iron it on to make the base flatter and even.
• The second layer - we attach the blue tulle to the white.
• With the third layer we attach a light white tulle, which will be the background for the snowflake. A layer can be attached to a previous one with uneven folds for a more diffuse effect.

To sew a snowflake costume for a girl, you need to prepare:

• white gymnastic leotard,
• acrylic paints,
• starch,
• white nylon tights,
• white Czech women.

This is important for the choice of material:

• It is better to take tulle soft or medium hard, as hard tulle will be pricked.
• With a tulle width of 1.5 m for a child 5 years old, you will need about 3 meters of fabric. This fabric will be enough for sewing short skirt- a pack that creates an airy image of a snowflake.

How to make a snowflake costume: a step-by-step description

Step 1. Cutting tulle into strips.

We cut tulle into strips 10 cm wide and up to 25 cm long, depending on the desired length of the skirt.

How to do it more conveniently:

It is more convenient to use a clerical knife for cutting tulle, rather than scissors.

How to use it correctly stationery knife for making strips:

• We make a template of a strip of cardboard 10 cm wide and 25 cm long.
• We put a piece of linoleum on the table, a patchwork rug or old magazine(so as not to cut the surface of the table with a clerical knife during work). On it - tulle folded in half.
• Apply a template to the edge of the tulle folded in half.
• Next, along the ruler, cut off the strip with a clerical knife.

Step 2. Prepare the snowflake costume belt.

We take a wide elastic band and sew it into a circle (according to the size of the child's waist). This will be the belt of our tutu skirt.

Step 3. We make a template for the tier of the skirt.

We make another template from cardboard, like an elastic band and 15 cm long.This template will help us to neatly and evenly tie tulle strips on the elastic.

Step 4. We begin to collect the tier of the skirt.

For this:

• we apply the cardboard template we made in step 3 to the elastic band - the belt.
• fold one strip of tulle in half, put it under the elastic so that a loop is obtained (the fold of the strip "looks" up),
• into the resulting loop we wind up the ends of the tulle strip, tighten the knot.

Attached one strip, then next to it - another. We push them tightly to each other. And so we form a fluffy skirt - a tutu.

• We take 2 tablespoons of starch per liter of water, cook jelly (stirring the starch in small amount cold water, pour this mixture into boiling water in a thin stream and stir so that there are no lumps).
• Having cooled down, we place our snowflakes in warm jelly, keep it in it for a short time.
• We squeeze and lay out the snowflakes on a hard surface, straightening their rays.
• When the snowflakes are a little dry, they must be ironed with an iron through a cloth.

We paint the snowflakes with acrylic paints (slightly) so that they do not get lost on the white background of the suit.

We decorate the girl's costume with snowflakes. We sew snowflakes on a gymnastic leotard, cuffs and gym shoes, hang them on strings on a tulle skirt, decorate the child's hairstyle with them. Irina's daughter even had a small snowflake attached to a plastic ring.

For a snowflake costume, you need to prepare:

• Knitwear - 70 x 70 cm
• Soft mesh - 40 x 150 cm
• Non-woven adhesive
• Common sewing supplies: white thread, needle, etc.
• Satin blue ribbon - 60 cm
• Snowflake on the head (can be knitted or cut out of thick fabric and starch or use ready-made)
• White tights
• White Czech women.

A step-by-step description of sewing a snowflake dress

Step 1. We build a dress pattern.

Using the drawing below for a dress pattern, build a pattern for the future product in life size on the paper. This pattern is given for a girl aged 6-7 years.

To build another pattern, you need measurements: dress width = ABOUT + 3 cm. The length of the dress is chosen independently.

Step 2. Cut out the details of the dress from the fabric.

Fold the material in half with the right side inward. We transfer the pattern to the fabric using chalk or a piece of soap, cut out the details without seam allowances. Received 2 dress details: front and back.

Step 3. Treatment of seams.

We process the details on an overlock or a zigzag seam on a sewing machine.

Step 4. Sew the side seams.

Step 5. Processing the armhole.

We glue the armholes with non-woven fabric, bend the right side to the wrong side by 0.5 cm and sew.

Step 6. Processing the neckline.

We bend it 2 cm with the right side to the wrong side and sew.

Step 7. Processing the bottom of the dress:

- cut off 20 cm of soft mesh,

- fold the mesh so that the upper part is 2 cm less than the lower one (see diagram below),

- we sew the mesh into a circle and make the assembly so that the width of the mesh matches the width of the hem of the dress.

- we sew to the hem of the dress.

Step 8. Final assembly dresses.

Ironing the dress. We insert the rest of the mesh into the neck and tie a beautiful bow on the side. The dress for the snowflake costume is ready.

For the final creation of the image of a snowflake, we make a headband. We measure the circumference of the girl's head. Cut off the blue satin ribbon length: OG - 2 (3) cm. Sew an elastic band 2 (3) cm to the tape. Sew in a circle. Sew a snowflake on the side of the bandage. New Year's outfit "Snowflake" is ready!
