How to make with your hands from threads is easy. What interesting things can be done from threads with your own hands

Decorating the interior with various crafts and souvenirs purchased in stores is, of course, quite fascinating. But often it turns out to be somewhat expensive. After all, everything that is done with high quality and conscientiously costs quite a lot. Each master puts his soul, time and inspiration into his works.

Have you ever thought that you are able to create many decor items with your own hands? Even if you are not an ace in needlework, you should not despair - any master started with simple things, gradually complicating his work and improving his technique. Why don't you try it too? Start the experiment with the simplest activities - try to create crafts from thread.

Necessary materials

Very few materials are needed to create a souvenir or thread decoration. Usually it is just thread, glue, scissors and paper. Additional details are selected depending on what you want to reproduce.

Threads for crafts can be completely different: floss, woolen, semi-woolen, iris, cotton, synthetics. The brighter their color, the more interesting the result will be.

It is advisable to take transparent glue, but the most common PVA will do. In some cases, when the product is more complex or you need to glue beads and other parts, it is worth using a glue gun or superglue.

Making various figurines also requires paper. Usually it is dense colored paper or durable cardboard - the thickness of the sheet depends on what kind of figures are created from the threads.

Crafts from thread and glue

Most simple crafts using threads are balls. It is quite simple to make them; even a child can cope with this task. In order to create a ball, you need: threads (cotton for openwork shapes, woolen - for denser balls), glue, balloons, scissors.

First of all, you need to inflate the balloons. It is good if they are round in shape, as the final result looks neater in the end. The field of this ball needs to be lubricated fat cream or petroleum jelly so that the threads do not stick to the base. If you don't have a cream on hand, you can use regular sunflower oil. It needs to be applied very little so that the threads in the first row do not slide off the air blank.

After that, the inflated ball must be wrapped with the selected threads. Before that, they should be moistened with glue. Depending on what density the threads will be wound, this will be the openwork of the product. At the end of the work, the resulting wrapped ball must be put to dry. After about a day, the ball can be gently pierced with a needle and removed from the workpiece. As a result of these simple actions, charming balloon crafts are obtained. From threads of different colors, funny balls are obtained, which can themselves serve as a pretty decoration, or can become the basis for more serious souvenirs.

So, for example, from three balls white connected to each other, you can make a charming snowman. If the balls are small, they will serve as a good Christmas tree decoration. You just need to decorate them with all kinds of beads, sequins and sparkles. After that, attach a string to them, and that's it - the toy is ready.

Together with the kids, you can make various birds and animals, as well as fairy-tale characters. To create a bird, you need to cut out the wings, legs and beak from cardboard, glue the eyes - and the craft comes to life. The simplest figurine for playing with children - Kolobok - is also very simple. Eyes, nose and mouth are glued to the ball, and telling a fairy tale is already much more interesting.

From the same balls, you can create a flower. It is enough to cut one side of the ball and bend the edges like petals. If the basis is white threads, they can be dyed. As you can see, there are a lot of options, you just have to connect your imagination.

Easter decorations

Preparing for bright holiday Easter can start early, especially when there are children in the house. Indeed, together with them, it is much more interesting and fun to create crafts from threads for the holiday. An egg made of threads will look beautiful in the interior. It can be created by analogy with balls. To do this, you just need to inflate oval balloons. Taking for this craft multi-colored and bright threads you will get some great Easter eggs.

In addition, you can wrap the egg blanks with threads of different colors. Such souvenirs can be used not only for interior decoration, but also as a lovely gift for relatives. If you own the art of crocheting, then the blanks of eggs can be tied with a fancy pattern, which is why they will play in a completely different way.

For experienced craftsmen excellent option easter decoration or an openwork egg can become a present for relatives. It is performed using the "isothread" technique and consists of two parts. After drying, the parts are glued together, and small yellow chickens made of threads sit inside. Such a present will be an excellent interior decoration and will certainly cheer up those around you.

The world of childhood

For activities with kids, decorating a children's room or a small presentation, you can create crafts from threads for children. Fairy-tale or cartoon characters, different birds or animals, supplemented with small details from multi-colored paper, will cheer up, create a scenario for fun game and will entertain children. They are created in the same way as the previous ones, by sticking on Balloon.

If you think that only a Kolobok can be made of these balls, then you are fundamentally mistaken. From threads of different colors, which are supplemented with small details from colored paper, the heroes of the animated series "Smeshariki", beloved by children, are excellent. Forty will come out of two openwork skeins and cardboard parts - the favorite of children's nursery rhymes. You can make a Goldfish, the performer of three cherished desires, chickens and hares, which will certainly delight the kids.

The next type of toys are crafts made of woolen threads, which are wound on cardboard rings, cut and tied. The resulting pom-poms form the basis of the toys. Colored cardboard blanks, as well as beads and ribbons are additionally glued to them. Birds, caterpillars, turtles and other fluffy toys come out great from such pom-poms.

They are perfect for decorating children's parties, role-playing games with children. And for the development of children's motor skills and imagination, creating such crafts with the children is just an ideal lesson.

Dolls from threads

Crafts from knitting threads come out charming. From them you can create small amulets - dolls. It is enough to make a brush (for legs or a skirt) and a head from one part of the threads, and from the other - hands, connect them with colored threads - and the doll is almost ready. Such dolls can be decorated with anything - paper stickers, clothes made of fabric, hats, crowns. Such dolls are perfect for educational games with children, for amulets of loved ones.

Designer fantasy

Crafts made from thread and glue can also be useful on the farm. You can quickly and easily create a candy bowl from small pieces. To do this, turn any deep dishes over, lightly grease the outer part with oil or cream and apply threads in a chaotic manner. different sizes and colors on blurred areas. The material should first be dipped in glue. After this procedure, the product is left to dry for a day, after which it can be used for its intended purpose. The main thing is to remember that the resulting product is rather fragile and afraid of water. In such homemade vases, in addition to sweets and sweets, you can store all kinds of trinkets and decorations.

You can also create an excellent stand for a flower pot from an openwork ball. It is enough to make cuts on the ball and bend them. Place a flower pot inside. The main thing is to remember that the product is sensitive to water, and to monitor this.

One of fashion trends in interior design, it became the use of openwork balls of thread as lampshades. Such lamps look quite unusual, interesting and harmoniously fit into various rooms. You just need to remember that crafts made from woolen threads will look rough, so use a thinner material.

Thread appliques

Pictures from threads fit well into the design of the room. Also, such products are very good to create together with children, showing their imagination, developing fine motor skills and ingenuity. To do this, you need to draw or print a blank (animal or picture) on paper, and then glue threads of different colors to certain areas.

For souvenir products, you can make crafts from threads using the "isothread" technique. To do this, you just need to come up with a composition, insert needles or pins around the perimeter and figurefully pull the threads. Of course, without some training it will be difficult at first, but creating such a craft is very exciting.

Thread bracelets

The most common sewing threads are useful for making jewelry. For theme party, for little child who loves mom's jewelry, they will be simply irreplaceable. Weaving such bracelets is an exciting activity, especially since you can invent yourself different techniques weaving.

The simplest weaving - the well-known pigtail - can play in a new way if you combine threads of different colors. The further result is a matter of your imagination and skill, which will certainly give you excellent thread bracelets.

Instead of an epilogue

As you can see, the scope for creativity from the most ordinary threads is wide and varied. By showing your imagination, you will not only have a wonderful time, but also be able to create a wonderful gift for your family and friends. Also, from this, often unnecessary material, you can create such crafts from threads, such as toys or real paintings. Create, fantasize and develop!

If after knitting you have yarn left, I am ready to tell you what kind of yarn crafts you can make from it with your own hands. Almost all works are simple, even a child can make them. To craft others, the little ones will need your help. I think such children's crafts will decorate the interior of your home, they will be useful for toddlers for contests and exhibitions, or they will become excellent gifts for friends and relatives.

DIY yarn pompom

I decided to start with 3 ways to make pompons. They will be useful to us more than once in our future work. You can choose the option that seems most convenient to you.

Method 1. How to make a pom-pom from yarn with your own hands with a cardboard base

The most common way. For him we need:

  • Thick paper (2 sheets). You can take cardboard as a base material
  • Compass
  • Scissors

How to do:

  • We draw 2 circles on paper. External - the size of future pompons. Internal - depends on what density you want to get the balls (the narrower - the thicker), as well as on your desire (with a wide hole for children 5-7 years old it is easier to work).
  • Cut out the circles. We make a hole in them.
  • We cut one side of the base so that you can wrap it with thread without any problems.
  • Next, we wind up the wool.
  • Expand 2 circles.
  • We cut the wool.
  • Thread the thread between the circles and tie the wool.

We remove the base. Trim the jagged edges.

Method 2... On a fork.

Plus - you don't need to do the base. But the size of the balls will be small.

  • We wind a thread around the four prongs of the fork.
  • We thread a thread between the 2 and 3 teeth, with which we will tie the yarn.
  • We remove from the fork.
  • We cut the resulting wool loops.

It remains only to trim the edges.

How to make yarn pom poms quickly

This is the easiest option. pompom without cardboard base ... Another plus - you get a lot of blanks at once, from which pom-poms are made. The downside is that it is difficult (but possible) to make very lush ones.

That's all! We fluff up our "balls".

DIY yarn and thread crafts

I'll start with the pom-poms, or rather continue. How can they be applied? First of all, you can use it for decoration for the holidays:, new year,.

These can be garlands of pompons. By the way, remember? If you have not seen, then take a look at the link. It turns out to be very festive and bright.

And today I found some more interesting ideas:

And here are the letters, wreaths, dandelions and pom-pom trees.

Pom-pom rug

How do you like these pussies? You will not find these on sale! Any shape can be made. Wind pom-poms to your favorite TV show. Is it just true? You can use that quick way the formation of pom-poms when they are wound on a chair and get a lot of pieces at once (I wrote above).

To make a rug from pompons with your own hands, you will need a mesh. It can be a rubberized mesh or mesh fabric, or maybe a construction one. Once I did it not on a net, but on a towel, I just glued the pom-poms with hot melt glue. It was great too. The rug served for a long time until we moved).

And with a grid it is much easier. See for yourself.

Here, in my opinion, is the building mesh.

Crafts from yarn and thread for children

Pig Magnet

When I saw this photo, I really liked the idea for its simplicity. True, it is assumed that this work is from a cord. But you can use thick yarn or, if you are making from the leftovers fine wool, weave a pigtail / chain from it.

  • Twist the chain into a spiral and glue it onto the cardboard.
  • Cut the ears and nickle out of felt. Glue them on the "head" of the pig.
  • Sew button eyes and beads on a nickle.
  • Attach the cardboard to the magnet.

But this is not the last piggy. I have another model.

Fluffy pig

And again you need a pompom.

  • We glue a nickle button to it.
  • Eyes.
  • Felt ears.

The bow will look beautiful. If it's difficult for kids, you can skip paws. But for children 10-14 years old such a task is within our powers. We cut them out of felt and glue them.

Bunny - rabbit

This is the case when the work looks very cool, it seems that it is so difficult to do. But in reality, everything is simple.

The size of the bunny will depend on the size of the square.

Photos

Horse

Now it is already clear that this is the muzzle of a horse. We glue the eyes. Ready!

Another option for a horse. You will need two piles of thread, we tie it up as in the picture.

It remains to make the tail and mane. A felt saddle is also possible.

Necklace of threads

Dove and bullfinches from thread

I will have several options: a dove and bullfinch ... I will use their example to show how you can create other birds using different colors wool.

You can also make sparrows and chickens, only by changing the colors of the threads.

Detailed MK in our video.

And here are the bullfinches in the nest. The nest is also made of thread.

It is done in the same way. But we need yarn of other colors:

  • Black (back - wound along the length of the base);
  • Gray (wings - we wind in width);
  • Red (tummy - wrap the width of the base).

The thickness of all blanks is the same.

Titmouse master class

We will mix different strands of yarn! This is how we will decorate the birds.

We need:

We make blanks:

  • Reeling burgundy wool on the wide side of the base. We cut it.
  • Yellow - we wind it on the second cardboard. We cut it too.
  • We wind the white and blue together. Cut and tie in the middle.

Putting the model together:

We put the burgundy and yellow beams perpendicularly. Burgundy - at the bottom, yellow should be on top).

We bend the burgundy ones over the yellow ones.

We tie the burgundy thread right under the yellow bundle.

Bend the yellow ones at a right angle. We tie it up with a thread to match the color.

We put the workpiece so that there are blue threads at the bottom, our bundle at the top.

Inside the blue ones is a wad of paper.

We bend all the threads (mask the paper between them). We tie under the ball, leaving the ponytail.

Align the tail.

We form legs from the wire.

We put the paws in the tummy.

Sew on the eyes.

We glue the beak.

Angry Birds from pompons

Red will be the first. We wind pink yarn on 3 fingers.

Top red.

We remove from the fingers while simultaneously stretching the thread with which we tie the pompom.

We tie and cut the threads.

We cut the pompom so as to get an ovaloid.

From felt we make eyebrows and a beak, from white beads we make eyes, we draw pupils with a marker. And do not forget to pull out a little three threads on the head - a tuft, just by gently pulling on the threads in the pompom.

For the blue birds, we do everything the same, only we take the blue threads. do not forget to cut the pompom under the ovaloid.

We wind the gray, black on top, make a pompom and cut it under the ball. Eyebrows, beak and forelock are made of felt, glued with hot melt glue. The eyes of the beads, the pupils are drawn with a marker. The only feature is the fluff around the eyes. To do this, glue gray strings onto the bead with rays like a snowflake.

For the pig, you need light green yarn and felt. We make a round pompom, maybe a little oval. We glue the felt nose (oval), draw a point with a marker. For the peephole, you will need large beads, if not, you can take any color and paint it white, put the pupil with a marker. We make the edge. Using tweezers, pull out the strings for the ears. And you're done!

Chuck needs white and yellow threads. First we round the pompom, then cut it under the cone. GLUING THE BEAK, EYES.

Doll

As for me, even a simplified version, without decorations and details, is interesting. But in more detail:

  • We wind wool on the base.
  • We remove and bandage. Cut the edges of the thread
  • 2 cm below the dressing place, wrap it with a thread and tie it up. This is how we formed the head.
  • Once again we wind the wool on the base (only smaller).
  • We tie this blank on both sides. These are the hands.
  • We pass our arms through the body, under the head. We bandage right under them.

Here, as for me, the doll is ready.

But you can make her a "face" of thin felt. Top - sew hair. And if you divide the bottom of the yarn in half and tie each half, you get a "boy".

Chrysalis

Such a doll can be not just a toy, but even a decor or a Christmas tree toy.

She's not all thread, just her hair. But I liked it so much that I could not pass by.

So, for the doll, you need tulle, which we wind on 2 cardboard circles. Then cut and tie. In general, we make a pom-pom from tulle.

Next, glue the ball with beige knitwear, using a palette of shadows, draw cheeks, eyes, eyebrows. We direct the cilia with a marker. Then we do our hair. We wind yarn around our fingers, cut it and glue it on the doll's crown, so that the cut edge of the thread is a bang.

We take the second bundle of threads, tie in the middle and glue to the bottom of the head. We raise the hair up so that it completely covers the entire back of the head and we collect it in a ponytail at the crown. We tie it with threads.

We glue the bow, decoration, and the head to the body.

At the top of the head, you can glue a thread - a loop, so that the doll can be hung up if necessary.

Yarn jewelry

And look how easy it is to make tassel earrings.

Dreamcatcher

I posted on a blog how to make a giant dream catcher. It is incredibly beautiful and is a worthy decor for the most expensive designer interiors.

Snood scarf in 10 minutes

A new very simple pattern from the beloved Alize Puffy. We knit a snood scarf from it without knitting needles and a hook, with our own hands, in just a couple of minutes.

Wonderful pattern and video from my favorite channel.

Knitted hat and also without needles.

And a chic blanket

Snowflake for new year

We can already make pom-poms. We'll need a big enough balloon to start with.

We straighten the yarn.

Divide first into 2 halves, then in half. And then again, halve each part. Then all 8 rays of the snowflake will be the same.

We bandage the rays, stepping back a little from the edge.

You can decorate the snowflake with beads, eyes, embroidery.

Pillow

Love Plush Toys? I am! And especially I love to lie on them. You can make a fluffy pillowcase from the leftover yarn. It's easy to do. We wind 10-20 turns on the hand, depending on the thickness of the yarn. We remove from the hand and bandage. We cut the threads. We get a thin pompom. Now we comb it well and glue it to the base - a pillowcase with hot glue. Next, we will use a hair straightener and make a neat hairstyle for our pillow. Ready!

Patterns, you guessed it, you can come up with yourself.

Dog made of thread

Do you like Yorkies? Or maybe your friend has such a dog.
Then you can give him such a fridge magnet.

Wreaths

We wind yarn on a cardboard base and get an excellent base for a wreath for any occasion. If you take yellow threads, you can make an Easter wreath.

Balls of thread

And here's how you can make an Easter craft out of threads. We make a regular ball in the shape of an egg. We cut out the window and glue the decor.

The second option is fine if you have a foam base. We stick pins along the contour of the window, wrap the base with foil and weave a cobweb. As you guessed, it is not possible to remove from such a form if you make a full egg at once. Therefore, we make 2 halves and at the end we connect them around the perimeter.

Letters and numbers

Need a birthday decor?

We make a cardboard base and decorate with threads, just wrap it!

Here are some more design options:

Candy bowls

Excellent vases and candy bowls are made from threads.

Be sure to wrap the form in foil or tape. We put the threads that can be in PVA on the form, let it freeze.

Painting of threads and nails

Recently, such pictures have become very popular.

The second option for a picture of threads is gluing threads on PVA glue. A very simple technique, but the result is beautiful!

DIY flossy crafts in photo and video lessons

Threads are a versatile material for creating useful crafts, making life cozy and comfortable, and the quality of the floss is most suitable for work. Beautiful trinkets, nice little things and things you need in the household can really be done with my own hands... Such crafts will be useful in the homes of needlewomen who have unused leftovers of yarn. There are several techniques for making crafts from a variety of woolen threads and floss. You can find some of them in our master classes:
, products made of threads using papier mache technique.

Figures from threads

Who hasn't made dolls out of thread in childhood? They were made by grandmothers and great-grandmothers for the reason that it was not possible to have others, they were made by mothers and ourselves simply because it was interesting, because you cannot buy such, but now handmade very popular and highly regarded.

From threads and glue, you can make not only dolls, but also figurines of various animals. Crafts can be very different: horses and cats, elephants and giraffes, fairy-tale characters and animals of unknown breed - there is room for imagination and creativity.
To make a doll, the threads are folded in several folds, it is convenient to use books of different formats or pieces for this thick cardboard, then the same blanks are laid across, where there will be arms, legs, hair in the future. The main threads are bent in half and pulled in the right places. If you use bright floss for hair, you can make a girl with pigtails. A ready-made doll on top can be dressed in floss clothes, fastening the threads cut into pieces on the body, or simply winding them. Embroider eyes, nose and lips. Animals are made in absolutely the same way as dolls.

You can please your child with toys made of floss, playing with them will give him no less pleasure than with talking store dolls. Synthetic hair and wigs Very interesting to restore with children old doll, replace her hair. In the process of work, there is, in addition to the creative and educational moment. The hair on her head is attached in different ways. If using glue, you just need to glue the new ones. If there are special holes, then crochet the threads of the required length through them. In this case, you can make the doll hair of the desired color and length.

With older children, you should make an almost real wig. It can be made for a doll or yourself for christmas costume... Any length of thread in the middle is sewn onto a thin strip of felt or other dense fabric, then a small comb is fixed along the hairline on the forehead on the strip so that the wig does not fall off the head. There are other ways of fastening artificial hair: on the mesh, crocheted or on a ready-made hat made of fine yarn.

Baubles: the basics of weaving

The tradition of weaving baubles has its roots in Indian culture. Drawings, a set of threads had their own meaning. Nowadays, floss bracelets rarely carry any information, usually this is an adornment, and the more original it is made, the more appreciated. In Russian culture, there is a similar folk handicraft - weaving belts.

Weaving is carried out in the following order:

Macrame from floss Having mastered weaving baubles, you can start weaving macrame. In principle, the technology is similar. Having carefully studied the diagrams of the main nodes, it will not be difficult to independently make some decoration using the macrame technique. Such accessories will be a worthy addition to summer dresses and suits.

Mouline thread on cardboard

Making crafts from mouline thread on cardboard is a great way of family pastime, developing activities for children of any age. All you need for this:

First, a drawing is applied to the cardboard, and then finely cut threads are used instead of paints and colored pencils. They are glued to the drawing and the result is a naive child drawing or a chic panel made using threads of various colors and shades. Pictures made using this technology resemble satin stitch embroidery and can take pride of place in the apartment.
There is another way to work with cardboard and floss: a shape in the form of a heart, ring, circle, snowflake or apple is cut out of cardboard. Holes are pierced along the contour with an awl or a large gypsy needle, and then a thread is passed through them. So do Christmas toys, valentines and all sorts of designer stuff.

Bulk crafts

Volumetric toys can be made from any materials, even crafts from woolen threads take a worthy place in the choice of material from craftswomen, but crafts from floss threads, thanks to the wide colors look more varied and richer. It is very simple to make such a craft, let's start from
.
You will need:

  • air balloons, fingertips, pastry balls;
  • some office glue;
  • threads.

The scheme of work is as follows:

  • balloons are inflated. From what kind of toy you plan to make, what size they will inflate depends on. Balls are on sale now different shapes and it empowers bulk crafts, for example, a ball in the shape of a heart will allow you to make it not difficult, but original gift for Valentine's Day;
  • then their surface is evenly lubricated with clerical glue, or a plastic bubble is pierced through with a needle and a thread is pulled through it, while being saturated with glue;
  • in a chaotic manner, the threads are wound around the ball. It is better to use a colorless glue that does not change the color of the floss when it dries. You can add gouache of the desired color to the glue. The threads on the ball should dry completely, this happens in about a day;
  • the ball is pierced or lowered and removed through the hole that remains at the tie.

This is preparatory stage common to all volumetric crafts. Further, everything depends on the imagination and ingenuity of the author. Thus, you can decorate flower pots and any household utensils;
You can make a regular snowman, a funny chicken, or a funny clown. A snowman made of woolen threads is obtained if you simply glue three white balls to each other, draw a face, use small parts from children's toys to build a nose for him, and a lid from a kinder surprise is quite suitable as a bucket on his head.
For the chicken you will need:

Two balls are glued to each other - this is the head and body, chicken legs are made of wire, which is wrapped with a red ribbon. For the beak, use pieces of plastic from a candy box or some kind of packaging, buttons for the eyes, paint the wings and tail of the chicken with paints or felt-tip pens.

Using dried threads impregnated with glue as a material, you can make a creative bouquet of tulips. The use of woolen threads is allowed. The flowers themselves are cut out of thread balls, the edges are trimmed with narrow lace, flat blanks for leaves are prepared on pieces of plastic or polyethylene, and then, after drying, it is necessary to give them the desired shape with scissors. The stalks are made from wire and thin colored ribbons.
Blanks made of glued threads are used in scrapbooking, to create paintings, panels, greeting card and caskets.
Particular attention should be paid to such crafts as various vases, sugar bowls, lampshades. Beautifully pasted rhinestones make the product even more effective. This is, of course, "aerobatics", but the result is impressive.
Gradually, the products become more and more perfect, the creative process delays, new ideas and the desire to create a masterpiece appear with their own hands.

Video: different DIY thread crafts

On the eve of a children's or main holiday, families and loving mothers strive to decorate their homes with interesting decorations. Some varieties are suitable for the main decor of the created interior. Especially popular are toys made of threads, which are made in numerous techniques - everyone can express themselves. Next, we will consider in detail the popular and simple techniques making toys from threads, their use in interior decor.

Knitted toys

Knitted toys are not easy to make, but they are nicely combined with the embodied interior in the house. So, you can knit or crochet toys. The disadvantage of the presented venture is the inability to cope with the manufacture of a toy, if the needles or a hook were never held in their hands before.

There are the following options for knitting toys from threads:

  • Knitted pillow toys. Often these are standard pillows, knitted with a front or shawl satin stitch, followed by decor. For example, if cats are formed, it is necessary to knit a square or rectangle, fill it with cotton wool and other types of filler, and finally embroider a mustache on the "muzzle", tie two corners, forming ears.
  • Crochet toys for home theater... Toys made of threads can be versatile if they are made small in size with a special hole inside (crocheted in the shape of a cone). Such products are attractively placed on the shelf, are used when children play, when strung on fingers.
  • Crochet toys. These wonderful products are made for children or as decorative items. Various "coasters", coin boxes, knitted figurines, made in a color suitable for the interior, can complement the entire design of the room.

Advice

You should not tackle complex products if you do not have knitting skills. It is enough to pay attention to anti-stress pillows, which are crocheted or knitted in the shape of a toy and filled with special plastic balls. Match these toys in the color of the room textiles and place them in the corners of the sofa.

From threads for washcloths

Enterprising mothers use threads for knitting washcloths for knitting toys to attract a child to water procedures. Not all babies love to take a bath, and even more so to wash with washcloths, even if they are soft and designed specifically for children.

Mothers began to lure children by knitting funny toys in the following forms:

  • hedgehogs;
  • owls;
  • strawberries, watermelons;
  • snowmen;
  • bees;
  • flowers;
  • cartoon characters - Minions or Smeshariki.

The product can be made in two versions - on a loop in the form of standard washcloths, or as a mitten. In the first case, it is convenient to use knitted fruits and vegetables, hedgehogs, flowers and Smeshariki. In the form of a mitten, the sun with rays and any animal will look interesting.

From woolen threads

Craft options can be represented by the following list:

  • Pom-pom toys- the most common interior decoration option. With the help of pom-poms, they collect compositions, make toys for children or children's mobiles for babies.
  • - The embroidery hoop and woolen thread are used here. With proper winding using different colors of threads, you can recreate a dream catcher or just a craft for a child - a sun, a heart, a cut fruit, and more.
  • Homemade brush compositions- Often, special voluminous brushes are made from woolen thread (winding yarn with a cut in one side and pulling the base on the other side). With a few strands of thread, you can make a snake, a caterpillar, a bird with a head and tail, and even a doll.

Dreamcatcher "Solar Wind"

  • Amulets of various shapes are often made from similar homemade brushes.... For example, a doll amulet in the house is able to protect those living in it from the evil eye and damage. To make it, they simply fold the thread in several layers and, by a certain pulling of the threads in the corresponding sections, form a figure - separate the head, body, arms and leave the doll a skirt (the master class of the technique is described below).
  • Figures of animals and dolls are often made of woolen threads using the felting technique.... The thread processing technology is complex, therefore, only people who know the features of the thread and the rules in work resort to this.

Children and adults often experience an allergic reaction to wool, therefore, the choice of thread is treated with caution. In addition, wool products collect more dust, and as a result, they need to be washed constantly, especially if they are used by children in games everywhere.

Making decorations for the Christmas tree

2-3 months before the New Year, families think about the principle and idea of the celebration. Do not forget about jewelry, which is easy to make with your own hands from threads.

In this issue, three manufacturing techniques are distinguished:

  • "Dense" ball on the Christmas tree- to make it, you need to take a standard ball for a Christmas tree (it is better if it is sprinkled with sparkles or has a relief surface), and wrap it with glue and thread. Suitable for decoration as melange yarn, and plain with strung beads or beads.
  • "Balloon Is a different manufacturing method christmas tree decoration from threads. Here you need to take a balloon, inflate it to a small size and wrap it with a thread in a chaotic manner (the thread is preliminarily passed through PVA glue). Then the workpiece is dried, the ball is carefully punctured and deflated - a "balloon" remains.
  • Shapes and elements from thread- with the help of thread, glue and a rubber mat (or a piece of polyethylene), you can make any crafts and figures on the Christmas tree. To do this, pour PVA glue into small amount on the base and distribute it evenly. Next, you need to lay out the thread in a chaotic manner, but according to the shape of the object being embodied (asterisk, herringbone, mitten, snowman, etc.). After the glue and threads are dry, you can remove the product from the base and hang it on the tree.

These simple toys are easy to make with your children, so take a free time with benefit and interest.

From corks and threads

Toys made from corks and threads are quite interesting. The technique involves the correct placement of the plugs, as well as the use of additional wire. After that, they start winding and winding the thread in a certain sequence and angle, in order to get a figure as a result, which is further decorated in the future.

Master class with step by step photo can be represented in the following form using the example of making a bunny:

  • It is necessary to prepare a wine cork and wire in a small amount, but dense with the ability to easily take shape.
  • It is required to make 6 pieces of wire of such length that it can be folded in half - it will be required for the paws and ears.
  • Next, the wire is inserted into the appropriate places in the cork - two at the bottom for the legs, two on the sides and the same at the top for the ears. The loops remain outside when folded.
  • The frame for the rabbit is ready. Then, with the help of thread and glue, they form a toy, wrapping all the parts separately - first they wind the parts from the wire, and then go to the cork.

When completing the work, they must hide the threads under the winding and, if desired, glue them. It is required to glue the eyes, nose, and draw the mouth in the muzzle area.

Making an octopus

DIY toys are always carefully stored and used by children, so the child can be offered to make an octopus on their own from threads. For manufacturing, you will need a woolen or acrylic thread of a bright shade and scissors.

The manufacturing sequence is as follows:

  • It is required to fold the thread in several layers for a length of 50-60 cm. To make the octopus large, it may take more than one skein of yarn.
  • Further, the threads are cut at both ends - separate segments of the thread will be obtained.
  • It is necessary to step back about 25 cm from the upper edge and tie the "shock" of threads with a rope or a beautiful ribbon.
  • Then step back from the tied area about 17 cm and tie the threads again - you should get a ball of thread with "hair" on the head and still unformed legs at the bottom.
  • The lower ends need to be evenly distributed over 7-8 tentacles. To form each, braid a braid, having previously distributed a separate "shock" of threads into three parts. Tie with tape.
  • Braid the remaining tentacles in the same way.
  • Glue eyes, nose on the octopus's face, draw a smile.

Advice

To make the octopus more colorful and vibrant, use hair ties to tie it up. The more colors, the brighter toy- it is more interesting for a child to play with her.

Conclusion

Toys made of threads are something new, unknown to children, since modern products no longer cause the expected delight in kids. To please your child, you don't have to be a professional and learn numerous techniques in needlework. It is enough to approach business with enthusiasm and start small - weaving or winding. Make children happy unusual things to make them proud of you.

There are materials that can be used not one or two, but many times to create various crafts and just interesting things. For example, threads are just a universal material: first you knit a sweater or a scarf, or a hat out of them, and then, when they go out of fashion, you can loosen and make wonderful and original crafts, which will be a great decoration for the interior of your home or a wonderful gift for family and friends.

What do you need?

Do-it-yourself crafts from threads, of course, easier for those for needlewomen who are good at crocheting or knitting, or weaving macrame. However, this does not mean at all that others who are not familiar with these techniques cannot undertake the manufacture of thread decor. You will definitely acquire the necessary skills in the process, and if you start combining and assembling them when creating your compositions, then you will get real aerial masterpieces.

In fact, crafts from threads do not require any special costs, since you only need, in fact, threads (you can take floss, cotton or woolen yarn - according to your taste and preference), a needle, scissors, glue and shapes that will help you create these or those conceived objects.

Let's start simple

The most simple thread crafts are balls. They can be of any size, and in working with them you can use threads of different thicknesses and shades - so you will get original jewelry... Having learned how to make them, according to the same principle, you will be able to craft vases, stands, chandeliers, and lampshades in the future, Christmas decorations and many other interesting things.

It should be noted that all thread crafts are best done with gloves to protect your hands from glue, because you will have to soak the threads in it and work with such material.

  1. So, first you should inflate the balloon (you can choose any shape or size of balloons you want as a result). Spread it with a greasy cream, petroleum jelly, or even sunflower oil(the threads will be better separated from the oily surface).
  2. Pour glue into a separate container, stir it and put the threads there.
  3. Then take the yarn and, squeezing it a little from the excess glue, start winding around your ball. This can be done chaotically - in any order and in different directions. When you think that's enough, cut off the thread and tuck the tip to secure it.
  4. Immerse the now wrapped ball in the glue, moisten it well on all sides and squeeze out the excess again.
  5. You can leave the craft to dry. As a rule, one night is sufficient, however if you find that the thread is not hardened or remains damp in the morning, it is better to allow time to dry some more (the thread should become very hard and stiff).
  6. After that, pierce the ball with a needle and carefully pull it out. Finished crafts can be decorated with sequins, beads, rhinestones, sequins, ribbons, etc.

Complicating the task

You can also make a solution of glue and sugar (for a bottle or 85 ml of PVA glue, you need 10 teaspoons of sugar and one and a half tablespoons of water), or flour (for half a glass of cold water, two or three tablespoons of white wheat flour, stir, and then gradually add a glass boiling water), and do not soak the threads in a separate container, but make the following device.

Take a small plastic bottle and pour the prepared solution or glue there. At the very bottom, at the bottom of the bottle, make two holes (it is better to pierce with a gypsy needle). Thread your thread into the rhinestone needle - and you will end up with a thread impregnated with glue.

Other crafts

Now that you already know how to make balls, you can try to make something more complicated. For example, a very original vase or candy bowl will turn out if you wrap it with threads or stick it with pieces / scraps of multi-colored yarn in some shape.

You can lay out patterns or act abstractly, but try to keep the edges straight and avoid gaps. Let the product dry thoroughly, and then remove the "cocoon" from the threads. In order not to waste time without washing the mold, use cling film before starting to work with it.

By the same principle, it is easy to do - you just need to inflate the balloon in the shape of a heart and choose pink or red threads.

Easter crafts are also very beautiful in this style. Only for making eggs from threads it is better to use not a ball (although this option is also possible, you just have to try to inflate the oval balls), but a blank made of polystyrene. Simply cut an egg shape out of the foam and sand it well, then cover with cling film.

To make the threads lay down more beautifully, you can divide the egg into zones with needles, or make a craft from two halves, and then glue them. By cutting a hole in the egg, you can put an Easter chicken in there or just decorate the inside beautifully.

You can test your skills and make an incredibly stylish chandelier. To do this, first, the same manipulations with the balls are carried out (you can take an inflatable ball, only it will need to be wrapped with cling film before wrapping).

When you have completely covered the ball with threads, take a brush and saturate the product with glue again. Leave to dry, and after drying, deflate the ball or ball and remove it. Now you need to take care of connecting the lampshade to electricity.

Mark a hole in the ball for the cartridge and cut it out (the cartridge and the bulb should pass freely). Insert the socket with the energy-saving light bulb into your light and screw the plastic holder between the strands (make sure that the light bulb is not close to the walls). Then there will be only installation and connection to the network.

Such things will not only decorate any interior favorably, but will also help you show your creative individuality and abilities.
